💬 A media buyer was checking competitor creatives for a specific country. The IP was from that country, but the results showed a different market.

An IP "just from the country" landed in one region, while the target market sat in another. On top of that, with the residential pool the city changed on every rotation – each check ran from a new location.

When managing multiple accounts or web sessions, changing IPs alone isn't always enough. Websites can also analyze browser fingerprints, cookies, WebGL, Canvas, time zones, and other signals.

Residential IPs from genuine home providers are less likely to trigger Anthropic’s anti-fraud systems than datacenter IPs or VPNs.

💬 A data team was scraping marketplaces: one port ran several parallel data-collection threads. As the number of threads grew, some requests started timing out. Everyone blamed the proxy.

One port holds up to 250 concurrent TCP connections. The automation opened more – the extra ones queued up and dropped. The proxy was fine; the problem was the configuration.

💬 A team lead contacted support: their prepaid traffic package had started running out abnormally quickly. Usage had grown several times over, although their algorithms had not changed. The suspicion was that traffic was being counted incorrectly.

Using the detailed statistics in the client’s dashboard, we checked how traffic was distributed across ports. Usage was concentrated on one specific port. We passed this data to the team lead for review. The cause soon came to light: an employee had been watching TV shows while the proxy was connected.
