Never Lose Hope

Al-Allamah Salih Al-Fawzan, may Allah preserve him, stated:

A person is neither to lose hope nor despair. He should not make the people lose hope of a return to goodness. He should not make the people lose hope regarding [the fact] that truth will prevail, and falsehood will be repelled; because Allah [Glorified and Exalted be He] has made that promise and He does not fail to fulfill His promise.

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

“The Religion is aided when put to the test, therefore, do not be amazed because this is the way of Ar-Rahmaan (The Most Merciful)”.

The wisdom behind Fitna is so that the believers are purified, exercise patience, become firm upon the truth, and are cautioned for their mistakes, and so that they may repent to Allah, The Mighty and Majestic. It is obligated to the Muslim that he looks at (the affairs) with optimism - neither look at history and the state of affairs with pessimism and hopelessness, nor make the people lose hope. It has been reported in a hadith:

“Whoever says, ‘The people are ruined, then he is ruined'”. [Muslim]

Therefore, a person should not lose hope in Allah’s Mercy and he should not make people lose. The Muslim should neither despair nor lose hope; he has to wait for solace from Allah, but this has to be accompanied by what one can perform of actions, statements, spreading knowledge, calling to Allah, telling the people to have certainty, and keeping them away from despair and lack of hope. "PALESTINE, EVER PRESENT IN OUR THOUGHTS"

An-Nu’man ibn Bashir, may Allah be pleased with him, reported that Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him: said:

The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever. [5] 🫀💧

Our Palestinian brothers and sisters, we reflect upon your suffering. We have reached another Ramadan while being in a state of physical safety, our properties safe and we have food for the day, while you have endured over two years of unimaginable hardship in our era. The hunger and tiredness that accompanies our fasting in the UK is absolutely nothing compared to the hunger and tiredness you endure. May Allah never allow our hearts to forget you, even though Allah alone suffices you.

🤲 O Allah! We ask You by Your Greatest Name to grant abundant reward to our Palestinian brothers and sisters, increase them in patience and endurance, and facilitate for them every means of strength to overcome this trial that has persisted for over 70 years. 🤲

🤲 O Allah! Increase the strength of our Muslim rulers and facilitate for them every path that will increase their influence on the global stage, so that the Ummah is also increased in safety. Unite the hearts of our rulers and the hearts of their subjects upon everything beloved to You. 🤲

The excellence and virtue of good deeds during the ten days of Dhul Hijjah is well known. May Allah prolong our lives upon the Sunnah and grant us the Tawfiq to utilise these ten days in everything beloved to him. In addition, good deeds also include giving the people their rights, supporting the oppressed, testifying to truth, abandoning false Takfeer, Tafseeq and Tabdee. Thus, one must also remember the hadith regarding the Muflis.

The prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: Do you know who are bankrupt?” They said, “The one without money or goods is bankrupt.” The Prophet said, “Verily, the bankrupt of my nation are those who come on the Day of Resurrection with prayers, fasting, and charity, but also with insults, slander, consuming wealth, shedding blood, and beating others. The oppressed will each be given from his good deeds. If his good deeds run out before justice is fulfilled, then their sins will be cast upon him and he will be thrown into the Hellfire.”

It is reported from Ibn ‘Umar and Abu Hurayrah (radiyallāhu ‘anhumā) that they would go out to the market in the ten days making the takbīrs and the people would make takbīrs due to their takbīrs. The Sahābah, ‘Umar (radiyallāhu ‘anhu) and a group of them would make takbīrs after the daily prayers beginning on the day of ‘Arafah until the last day of Tashreeq (13th Dhul-Hijjah).

Shaykh Ibn 'Uthaymin (رحمه الله) said (about the Salafi):

Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaa'ah, in belief, they are the Salaf - and even a person of later times until the Day of Resurrection. So long as he is upon the path of the Prophet (ﷺ) and his Companions, then he is a Salafi.

أعوذُ بِٱللَّهِ مِنَ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِ ٱلرَّجِيمِ
بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ


Holy Qur'ān, Surah Al-Ahzab

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَمَلَٰٓئِكَتَهُۥ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى ٱلنَّبِىِّ ۚ
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ صَلُّوا۟ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا۟ تَسْلِيمًا ۝٥٦
Allah sends His Salat (Graces, Honours, Blessings, Mercy, etc.) on the Prophet (Muhammad ﷺ) and also His angels too (ask Allah to bless and forgive him). O you who believe! Send your Salat on (ask Allah to bless) him (Muhammad ﷺ), and (you should) greet (salute) him with the Islamic way of greeting (salutation i.e. AsSalamu 'Alaikum).

وهذا فيه تنبيه على كمال رسول اللّه صلى اللّه عليه وسلم، ورفعة درجته، وعلو منزلته عند اللّه وعند خلقه، ورفع ذكره. و { إِنَّ اللَّهَ } تعالى { وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ } عليه، أي: يثني اللّه عليه بين الملائكة، وفي الملأ الأعلى، لمحبته تعالى له، وتثني عليه الملائكة المقربون، ويدعون له ويتضرعون. { يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا } اقتداء باللّه وملائكته، وجزاء له على بعض حقوقه عليكم، وتكميلاً لإيمانكم، وتعظيمًا له صلى اللّه عليه وسلم، ومحبة وإكرامًا، وزيادة في حسناتكم، وتكفيرًا من سيئاتكم وأفضل هيئات الصلاة عليه عليه الصلاة والسلام، ما علم به أصحابه: "اللّهم صل على محمد وعلى آل محمد كما صليت على آل إبراهيم إنك حميد مجيد، وبارك على محمد وعلى آل محمد كما باركت على آل إبراهيم إنك حميد مجيد" وهذا الأمر بالصلاة والسلام عليه مشروع في جميع الأوقات، وأوجبه كثير من العلماء في الصلاة.

Holy Qur'ān, Surah Al-Ahzab

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَمَلَٰٓئِكَتَهُۥ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى ٱلنَّبِىِّ ۚ
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ صَلُّوا۟ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا۟ تَسْلِيمًا ۝٥٦
(56. Allah sends His Salah on the Prophet, and also His angels (do so). O you who believe! Send your Salah on him, and greet him with Taslim.)

Al-Bukhari said: "Abu Al-Aliyah said:

"Allah's Salah is His praising him before the angels, and the Salah of the angels is their supplication.''

Ibn Abbas said:
"They send blessings.''
Abu Isa At-Tirmidhi said:
"This was narrated from Sufyan Ath-Thawri and other scholars, who said:

The Salah of the Lord is mercy, and the Salah of the angels is their seeking forgiveness...

Holy Qur'ān, Surah Al-Maeda

جَعَلَ اللَّهُ الْكَعْبَةَ الْبَيْتَ الْحَرَامَ قِيَامًا لِّلنَّاسِ وَالشَّهْرَ الْحَرَامَ وَالْهَدْيَ وَالْقَلَائِدَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ لِتَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ ۝٩٧
Allah has made the Ka'bah, the Sacred House, an asylum of security and Hajj and 'Umrah (pilgrimage) for mankind, and also the Sacred Month and the animals of offerings and the garlanded (people or animals, etc. marked with the garlands on their necks made from the outer part of the stem of the Makkah trees for their security), that you may know that Allah has knowledge of all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and that Allah is the All-Knower of each and everything.

يخبر تعالى أنه جعل { الْكَعْبَةَ الْبَيْتَ الْحَرَامَ قِيَامًا لِلنَّاسِ } يقوم بالقيام بتعظيمه دينُهم ودنياهم، فبذلك يتم إسلامهم، وبه تحط أوزارهم، وتحصل لهم - بقصده - العطايا الجزيلة، والإحسان الكثير، وبسببه تنفق الأموال، وتتقحم - من أجله - الأهوال. ويجتمع فيه من كل فج عميق جميع أجناس المسلمين، فيتعارفون ويستعين بعضهم ببعض، ويتشاورون على المصالح العامة، وتنعقد بينهم الروابط في مصالحهم الدينية والدنيوية. قال تعالى: { لِيَشْهَدُوا مَنَافِعَ لَهُمْ وَيَذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ فِي أَيَّامٍ مَعْلُومَاتٍ عَلَى مَا رَزَقَهُمْ مِنْ بَهِيمَةِ الْأَنْعَامِ } ومن أجل كون البيت قياما للناس قال من قال من العلماء: إن حج بيت الله فرض كفاية في كل سنة. فلو ترك الناس حجه لأثم كل قادر، بل لو ترك الناس حجه لزال ما به قوامهم، وقامت القيامة. وقوله: { وَالْهَدْيَ وَالْقَلَائِدَ } أي: وكذلك جعل الهدي والقلائد -التي هي أشرف أنواع الهدي- قياما للناس، ينتفعون بهما ويثابون عليهما. { ذَلِكَ لِتَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ } فمن علمه أن جعل لكم هذا البيت الحرام، لما يعلمه من مصالحكم الدينية والدنيوية.
