A video circulating on Chinese social media shows the off-road-focused Fangchengbao Bao 8 pulling out of a parking space with its left front wheel about a foot off the ground. BYD's DiSus-P Ultra suspension makes this possible.
How the system works
• Dual-valve dampers let the SUV raise one wheel off the ground
• It was developed for jack-free wheel and tire changes and for clearing rocks, logs or ruts off-road
• It operates only up to 15 km/h (9.3 mph)
• BYD claims up to over 19,000 lb of lifting force and says it can hold a wheel in mid-air for up to 24 hours
