You will be responsible for designing and maintaining modern data solutions, with a strong focus on building scalable data pipelines, integrating multiple data sources, and enabling business insights through Power BI dashboards and reports. The role emphasizes Data Engineering practices, data modeling, transformation, and optimization, while leveraging Microsoft Power BI, Power BI Fabric, and SQL Server technologies to deliver actionable analytics for stakeholders. You’ll work closely with a bilingual (Russian/English) team and have the opportunity to implement and optimize cutting-edge technologies that directly impact our global solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain enterprise-grade dashboards, reports, and KPIs in Microsoft Power BI.
• Build and optimize data pipelines for ingestion, integration, and transformation across heterogeneous sources.
• Apply best practices in data modeling, dimensional design, and data warehouse architecture.
• Implement advanced DAX measures, Power Query (M language) transformations, and reusable datasets.
• Utilize Power BI Fabric to manage data workflows, experiment with new features, and align with evolving licensing models.
• Perform ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Azure-based services.
• Tune queries, manage indexes, and ensure performance of BI workloads.
• Implement security and role-based access controls for BI solutions.
• Document pipelines, models, and reporting standards to support reusability and knowledge transfer.
• Partner with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver reliable and scalable BI solutions.
Required Skills:
• English spoken level: Pre-Advanced (B2) and higher – MUST!
• Self-managed and proactive, able to take ownership of tasks without the need for constant supervision
• 5 years or more in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or Analytics.
• Experience with Power BI Fabric and familiarity with new licensing models.
• Hands-on Power BI experience (installation, configuration, authentication, role-based authorization).
• Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Hands-on experience in SQL Server administration (backups, restores, T-SQL, indexing, stored procedures, UDFs).
• Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining ETL pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of Power Platform and Power BI ecosystem.
• Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and modern data modeling.
• Background in data warehouse design (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas).
• Familiarity with Python for data engineering and analytics workflows.
