Bitcoin shows signs of stabilization, with recent data indicating decreased volatility around the Power Law line over the past decade. The oscillator’s peak values have diminished from +169 in 2018 to +102 in 2025, reflecting a narrowing of fluctuations. The standard deviation of daily movements has nearly halved, falling from 4.81 to 2.47 points—a 49% reduction. As of October 3, the oscillator registers at +34.5, while Bitcoin’s price hovers around $84,700.

Model parameters as of October 3 suggest that a threshold of +100 correlates with a price of approximately $157,800, representing an 86% increase over the current valuation. This level functions as a reference point; should the regression parameters remain constant, the projected price will climb in tandem with the ascending Power Law line.

The Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has taken a significant step toward regulating the cryptocurrency market, despite the absence of federal legislation. Chairman Michael S. Selig announced the introduction of the agency’s first set of rules, aiming to establish a comprehensive framework for cryptocurrency trading within the United States.

These regulations—which include the "Rules for Regulating Trading in Cryptocurrency Assets" (Regulation CTX) and the "Rules for Regulating the Cryptocurrency Market" (Regulation CAM)—seek to oversee CFTC-registered exchanges handling digital assets. Selig emphasized that, unlike the pending Clarity Bill, these rules do not require crypto assets to be traded exclusively on platforms registered with the CFTC, citing legislative limitations on the agency’s authority. Nevertheless, crypto exchanges wishing to operate under a unified federal regulatory system are encouraged to register voluntarily.

Furthermore, unlike state-licensed exchanges, those adhering to these new federal rules will be permitted to offer services such as margin trading, leverage, and financing to retail customers, marking a notable shift in the regulatory landscape.
