Despite Vedanta placing a higher overall bid, creditors and the NCLT selected Adani's lower offer due to faster upfront payouts.
Vedanta has questioned the evaluation metrics adopted by lenders of JAL, which had selected the lower bid of Rs 3,400 crore from Adani
Vedanta took this to Supreme court and within few Days their office was searched by ED.
It can't be coincidence.
