Ilmiy safar: 3 kun davomida Termez Davlat universitetida turli mavzularda ma'ruzalar qildim ("Kompyuterda modellashtirishni zamonaviy ilm-fandagi o'rni", "Yuqori impact factor jurnallarga maqolalar tayyorlash tartiblari", "Kimyo fanida zamonaviy sohalar", "Ilmda samaradorlikni oshirish uchun olim nimalarga e'tibor berish kerak"). Savol-javob va bahs-munozalar qiziqarli bo'ldi. Magistrlar, tayanch doktorantlar, doktoranturada ilmiy ish qilayotgan xodimlar, kimyo fakulteti o'qituvchilari bilan suhbatlashib hamkorlikni yo'lga qo'yishga kelishib oldik. Laboratoriyalar, sotib olingan asbob-uskunalar bilan ham yaqindan tanishdim. Kimyo fakultetini moddiy-texnik bazasi ancha yuqori ekan. Kamyob va qimmat asbob-uskunalar ham sotib olingan va sotib olinmoqda. Bemalol ilm bilan shug'ullanish uchun sharoit mavjud. Bunday sharoitga ega bo'lish orzu edi. Viloyatlarimizdagi universitetlarda sharoitni yaxshilanayotgani, ilm bilan shug'ullanish uchun poytaxtga borishga ehtiyoj yo'qligi meni juda xursand qildi. Kimyo fakulteti dekani Professor Xayit Turaevga va Dr Sherzod Kasimovga taklif uchun alohida minnatdorchilik bildiraman. Nasib bo'lsa birgalikda ilm-fanda yuqori cho'qqilarni zabt etamiz.
Gillian Reid on making chemistry count
BBC Radio 4
How often do you think about chemistry?
The chances are, not often - but it is vital to every part of our lives, from the air we breathe, to the processes that take place inside our bodies and the materials we use.
Gillian Reid is Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Southampton and she is on a mission to make sure we all know what chemistry can do for us - and how it is tackling some of society’s biggest challenges.

Dunyo ajoyibotlarga to'la. A sea slug that can perform photosynthesis?
Discovered in 1993 off the coast of the Japanese island Kuroshima.
Costasiella Kuroshimae have been found in the waters near Japan, the Philippines, and Indonesia.
They have two dark eyes and two rhinophores that emerge from the tops of their heads.
Costasiella kuroshimae are capable of a physiological process called kleptoplasty.
This means they retain the chloroplasts from the algae they feed on.
Absorbing the chloroplasts from algae then enables them to indirectly perform photosynthesis.

📢 Exciting News! 📚 Our latest research paper in Nanomaterials has just been published! 🧪🔬
We delve into the fascinating world of 2H MoTe2 (molybdenum ditelluride) and its incredible potential. This material has garnered immense interest for its applications in superconductivity, nonvolatile memory, and semiconductors. It boasts a wide range of electrical properties that make it a true game-changer.
But what's even more intriguing is our exploration of MoTe2 in combination with hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) within lateral heterostructures. This pairing offers a unique platform for crafting groundbreaking electronic devices.
In our study, we've successfully created highly conductive interfaces in crystalline ionic liquid-gated (ILG) field-effect transistors (FETs) featuring MoTe2/h-BN heterojunctions. 🌟
Our findings reveal an efficient carrier modulation with ILG FETs, showcasing double the performance compared to standard back gating. We've achieved remarkable unipolar p-type behavior and significantly boosted mobility in MoTe2/h-BN heterochannels, setting new mobility records. At 80 K, we observed hole and electron mobility values ranging from 345 cm² V⁻¹ s⁻¹ to 285 cm² V⁻¹ s⁻¹.
But what sets our study apart is the drastic reduction of Schottky barriers, which allowed us to unlock the intrinsic, heterointerface conduction in the channels. This presents exciting opportunities for developing phase change devices using atomically thin membranes.
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our brilliant team, including Saidov Kamoliddin, Odilkhuja Parpiev, and Olim Ruzimuradov and our collaborators at EMPA Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology: Gurdial Blugan, Sena Yuzbasi, and Natalia Kovalska. https://www.mdpi.com/2079-4991/13/18/2559

The Nobel Assembly at Karolinska Institutet has today decided to award the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine to Katalin Karikó and Drew Weissman for their discoveries concerning nucleoside base modifications that enabled the development of effective mRNA vaccines against COVID-19.
The discoveries by the two Nobel Prize laureates were critical for developing effective mRNA vaccines against COVID-19 during the pandemic that began in early 2020. Through their groundbreaking findings, which have fundamentally changed our understanding of how mRNA interacts with our immune system, the laureates contributed to the unprecedented rate of vaccine development during one of the greatest threats to human health in modern times.
