Waymo’s #autonomous cars now serve all of San Francisco. Thoughts after my 1st ride:
🤖 working in the #ai space and shipping related product is cool, but experiencing AI so tangibly in a self-driving car is incredibly visceral, especially when riding solo and you’re NOT the one driving. It reinforces how transformative AI/ML technology is, even for those of us with product we can’t physically touch.
📈 imagining a future where autonomous vehicles A) outnumber human-driven cars and B) can “talk” to each other instantly across all brands really excites me. Accidents, traffic jams, basically all road-related inefficiencies will drastically decrease.
🚗 I’m never taking an Uber, Lyft, Grab, or any other human-driven rideshare service again if Waymo is available.
