📊 The recovery math nobody’s talking about

• 2015: bear market 400 days → recovery 700 days

• 2018: bear market 360 days → recovery 700 days

• 2022: bear market 380 days → recovery 469 days

The pattern: recovery to the last all-time high has always taken roughly 2x longer than the fall into the bear market.

Right now we’re only ~40% of the way through that ratio.

Binance hack: five days after

The withdrawal run after reopening was bigger than the hack itself. Nov 1–2 net outflows hit 25,793 BTC, 273K ETH, $3.75B USDT and $1.33B USDC, the largest of the past year for every asset.

It didn’t last. By Nov 3, ETH (+75K), USDT (+$215M) and USDC (+$440M) were back to net inflows, with BTC still bleeding a modest 3,640.

Price impact stayed contained. BTC is −3.8% since the hack, a drawdown in the middle of the range for 38 past exchange hacks. It now sits on the 365-day MA ($76.9K), with the 200-day MA at $73.2K as the next level.
