The outlook for the coming week: It's MTBing great!
Hurry up and #MTB - the weekend is short.... 😂
¡feliz día de las brujas! - Happy Halloween to all Pacenos! 31. October 2021
Every trail has its own personality. The dirt, the grades, the features and flow - it’s never exactly the same. Some trails are rugged and raw, true to the landscapes and terrain they traverse. Others are lovingly crafted by human hands, carved into the earth for the specific purpose of being fun to ride.
It’s this ever-changing experience and access to something wild that makes riding a trail bike so exhilarating. That thrill, that promise of nailing a new line - or riding an old familiar one you know by heart, but with a little more speed and style - is what drove the design of the all-new Trance X.
Float through rock gardens, hit jumps, find the faster line. With quick-handling 27.5 wheels and adjustable frame geometry, the Trance X is a party on wheels and is perfectly-suited for riders like Matthew Sterling of the Giant Factory Off-Road Team. Here are his favorite things about the new bike.

27.5-inch wheels balance agility and control, giving you the ability to roll over rugged terrain, flick the bike at speed, change lines, and explode out of corners. Updated Maestro rear suspension features a trunnion mount shock with a longer stroke and smoother feel. With 145mm of rear travel (and 160mm up front), it has an Advanced Forged Composite upper rocker arm for increased stiffness and strength plus lower overall frame weight. https://mtb.bcs-mx.com/post/667923922682101760/trancex
José Meiffret (Boulouris, France, 1913-1983) was a cyclist who set a world speed record by bicycle on July 16, 1962 in Freiburg, Germany: 204,73 km/h.
The record, of course, was achieved by the slipstream of a motorized vehicle; in this case a Mercedes Benz 300 SL. José rolled on a bicycle that weighed 20 kg, moving a 130-tooth chainring/crankset and on wooden wheels to resist overheating.

It's been cold lately at the southern Baja, however not as cold to need spikes on your #Mountainbike as this fellow riding on the frozen lake Baikal, considered the deepest lake in the world circled by a network of hiking paths called the Great Baikal Trail

It's all in the detail. The Reaction Hybrid's PowerTube frame design contains the high-capacity Bosch battery and sophisticated, fourth-generation CX motor - giving you the power to take on any ride. Agile Ride Geometry and a 1.5in head tube deliver impeccable, confidence-inspiring handling. Internally routed cables reduce maintenance and help keep gear shifts clean and precise. The Trapeze frame option and full Size Split breakdown means there's a Reaction Hybrid to suit everyone. And for the Allroad, we added practical full-length mudguards, a kickstand and integrated lighting system for extra versatility.

Big wheels, big travel, big fun. The Stereo ONE77's frame is based on our proven four-bar suspension design and Agile Trail Geometry, for superb suspension performance and dependable handling in a huge range of trail conditions. New for 2022, we've reduced the seat tube length to improve standover and also increased the reach on larger frame sizes. The rear suspension setup is more progressive and there's an AngleSet so you can tweak the geometry to suit your own preference. The frame is equally happy with an air or coil shock, and covered bearings and internally routed cables mean you can spend more time shredding and less time wrenching. Simply put, it redefines what a big-travel, big-wheeled bike can do.

Progress never sleeps. The brand-new Cross Race C:68X frame was developed in conjunction with Wanty's cyclocross team, and also took inspiration from our high-end carbon race bikes. The result is a perfectly honed structure, crafted from our top-end C:68X carbon material for a frame that weighs less than 900g - 200g lighter than it did before. It's still just as strong, just as stiff and just as easy to pick up and carry. It's just very, very light. An integrated seatpost clamp, Di2 cable-routing option and integrated stem with cables routed through the headset complete the package.

Jai Hindley of Australia won the first mountain stage of the Tour de France after the cruel climb of the Col de Marie Blanque saw Adam Yates’s race leadership evaporate and then exposed the frailties of his UAE Emirates teammate, the former Tour champion, Tadej Pogacar.
As Hindley, of Bora-Hansgrohe, rode alone over the climb and sped down into Laruns, to win the stage and take the maillot jaune of overall race leadership, the defending champion, Jonas Vingegaard, left Pogacar in his wake, 1km from the summit. It may yet prove a definitive moment in this year’s race.
Hindley, riding his first Tour, seemed stunned by his solo success. “I didn’t really expect this when I rolled about of bed this morning,” the 27-year-old said. “I’ve been watching the Tour since I was six and never thought I’d find myself in the yellow jersey.”
