π° Some private schools in Dubai and across the UAE have told parents to stop taking photos and videos on school grounds, even of their own children.
β’ Circulars now cover the whole school day, including drop-off, pick-up and events
β’ Parents are asked not to repost old photos or videos showing other students' faces
β’ Existing posts in WhatsApp groups and on social media should be deleted

β’ The exception: at official school events, parents can film their own child. Other students must not appear in the shot unless their parents have given consent.
β’ The reason: schools say the rules protect students' privacy. The ban followed cases where footage shot on campus ended up in parent chats and on social media.

π° A mother in the UAE has left her sonβs upbringing to a chatbot in her will. His guardians will be required to consult ChatGPT on the key decisions: choice of school, country and city of residence, physical and mental health treatment, religion, and contact with the motherβs family.
βΉοΈ The idea is that the guardians feed the AI a long letter from the mother describing her values, principles and expectations for her child. The chatbot is then supposed to give reasonably relevant advice based on it.
