What happens when you put six comedians, several countries, and one health-themed comedy show in the same virtual room?

The doctor says, โ€œTake two laughs and call me in the morning!โ€ ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿฉบ

On 18 October 2026, I joined Humor911โ€™s October Health Comedy Show, where we turned health stories, everyday struggles, and human experiences into international laughter.

And no, our comedians did not need medical degrees. We prescribed punchlines instead! ๐ŸŽค๐ŸŒ

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น Michael Monkhouse from Italy opened the show.

๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฌ Aseel and Saif AK from Egypt brought their comedy to the stage.

๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡น Nefertiti from Malta shared her humor.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ Vikram Poddar and Meenakshi Gautam represented India.

ABBEY THANGIAH from Malaysia hosted the session, bringing performers and audience members together across borders.

โค๏ธ WHAT MADE THIS SHOW MATTER?

For me, comedy creates three opportunities.

1๏ธโƒฃ CONNECTION. Different countries, different experiences, one shared language of laughter.

2๏ธโƒฃ PERSPECTIVE. Sometimes, a funny story helps us see an ordinary problem differently.

3๏ธโƒฃ COURAGE. Every performer who steps forward gives the audience a reason to listen, relate, and laugh.

The real test is not simply how many jokes we tell. It is whether people leave with a smile, a new perspective, or a story worth sharing.

๐Ÿ’ฌ YOUR TURN:
Which health habit, gym excuse, or doctor's appointment deserves its own comedy routine?

Share your story in the comments. You might inspire our next show! What theme do you expect from us for the November Show?

At Humor911, we may not cure every problem, but we can certainly help you laugh at a few of them.

Because laughter may not replace medicine, but sometimes it is exactly what the doctor ordered. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿฉบ

as a mentor alongside an incredible group of educators, professionals, and fellow mentors.

My biggest takeaway? Give people the right guidance, room to experiment, and honest feedback, and you might see an idea turn into something that solves a real problem.

๐Ÿ’ก FROM LEARNING TO LAUNCHING

One mentee Iโ€™m especially excited to spotlight is Shoaib Hassan, who built BridgeLMS.

His project tackles a real challenge in education: why should learning stop when the internet does?

BridgeLMS focuses on equity, offline accessibility, assignment continuity, and institutional security. It aims to help universities deliver learning experiences even when connectivity becomes a challenge.

As someone who works with communication, business strategy, and professional development, I love seeing ideas move from โ€œWhat if?โ€ to โ€œWhatโ€™s next?โ€

Because an idea is great. An executed idea is even better. And an executed idea that solves a real problem? Now that deserves a standing ovation! ๐Ÿ‘

๐ŸŽค A BIG SHOUT-OUT TO OUR REP4 COMMUNITY!

Thank you to everyone who made this cohort meaningful.

๐Ÿ‘ Shoaib Hassan
๐Ÿ‘ Elena Goscina
๐Ÿ‘ Mike Saunders
๐Ÿ‘ Eva Espinal
๐Ÿ‘ Mariana Balado
๐Ÿ‘ Altinay Meltem
๐Ÿ‘ Tony Landais
๐Ÿ‘ Farzooque Hasan
๐Ÿ‘ Gracious

And a special thank you to Grand Valley State University and our REP4 partners for supporting this learning journey.

To my fellow mentors Mariana Balado, thank you for hosting the closing session with me and celebrating the work our participants put into their ideas.

To all the learners, thank you for showing up, sharing your work, accepting feedback, and daring to build something of your own.

You brought the ideas. You did the work. You gave us plenty of reasons to keep mentoring.

๐ŸŽฏ UNTIL THE NEXT COHORT!

Iโ€™m looking forward to seeing where these ideas go next, how BridgeLMS continues to develop, and what the next group of learners will bring to the table.

Four weeks may be over, but the learning doesn't have to log out.

And if you think the best part of a program is the final presentation, wait until you see what happens when the participants take their ideas into the real world. ๐Ÿ˜‰

See you in the next REP4 cohort!

๐Ÿ’ก SECOND COHORT. NEW PERSPECTIVES. MORE PROBLEMS WORTH SOLVING!

https://www.instagram.com/p/DevHlxqyaK4/?rpxt=N3dmZWV6cWt6YXhl

Grateful to be back as a Masterclass Mentor for REP4 Virtual Learner Design Summit, in collaboration with Grand Valley State University and Excelerate ! ๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒ

As an Design Thinking Expert, I spend a lot of time thinking about systems, risks, security, and solutions.

But this second cohort reminded me of something important.

Before we solve a problem, we must make sure we understand it correctly.

๐ŸŽฏ FROM โ€œWHAT CAN WE BUILD?โ€ TO โ€œWHAT PROBLEM SHOULD WE SOLVE?โ€

During our discussions, we explored five important questions:

๐Ÿ” What does it feel like to work in this industry?

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ What real-world problems do professionals solve, and how?

๐Ÿง  What approaches help us identify the root cause?

๐Ÿ“š How can research turn assumptions into evidence?

๐Ÿ’ก And how do we define a problem statement worth solving?

My biggest advice to the students was simple.

Don't fall in love with your solution before you understand the problem.

You can build an impressive application, develop an advanced AI tool, or introduce sophisticated cybersecurity technology. But if you solve the wrong problem, congratulations. You have successfully created a solution looking for a problem! ๐Ÿ˜‚

The goal is to understand the users, validate the challenge, research the evidence, and measure the outcome.

Because innovation starts with the right questions.

โค๏ธ GRATEFUL FOR THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE LEARNING

A big thank you to the REP4 team, our partners at Grand Valley State University and Excelerate, and my fellow mentors for creating an environment where ideas, questions, and different perspectives could grow together.

To the students in this second cohort, thank you for your curiosity, participation, and willingness to challenge your own assumptions.

Keep asking questions. Keep testing your ideas. Keep learning from feedback.

You don't need to have all the answers today. You need to learn how to ask better questions and find answers supported by evidence.

That is a skill worth carrying into every industry.

๐Ÿš€ UNTIL THE NEXT COHORT!

Two cohorts in, and I'm reminded that mentoring is a two-way learning experience.

I share my industry perspectives. Students challenge me to look at problems from fresh angles. We exchange ideas, test assumptions, and discover new possibilities.

That's what makes this journey meaningful.

And remember, when it comes to problem-solving, there are three things you should never skip:

Understand the problem. Validate the evidence. Test the solution.

Your future users will thank you. Your IT team will thank you. And your Cybersecurity team might finally get some sleep! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ”

See you in the next cohort!
