The Best Reward of Being a Mentor? Hearing That You Made a Difference. ❤️
https://www.instagram.com/p/DfM9yt5IzLX/?dlrf=MW9hdWdpNHBuamRmdw==
Sometimes, the most meaningful feedback comes when you least expect it.
Recently, after one of my sessions as a Business Mentor for Design Thinking, I received a lovely message from someone who shared something that genuinely made my day.
They told me that one of my students had spoken very highly of me and was genuinely happy to have me as a mentor.
Honestly, that meant a lot.
Because mentoring is never just about sharing knowledge, explaining frameworks, or teaching people how to approach business challenges.
It's about helping people see problems from different perspectives, asking better questions, challenging assumptions, and discovering solutions they might not have considered before.
That's what I love about Design Thinking.
It's a process that reminds us to:
- Start with empathy. Understand people before jumping to solutions.
- Challenge assumptions. Sometimes, the problem we think we have isn't the real problem.
- Think creatively. Explore possibilities beyond the obvious answers.
- Experiment and learn. Progress comes from testing ideas, receiving feedback, and improving.
- Put people at the center. Great solutions begin with understanding human needs.
As a mentor, I don't expect every student to remember every slide, framework, or exercise I share.
But I hope they remember the questions that made them think differently, the conversations that challenged their perspectives, and the confidence to approach problems with a fresh mindset.
And if they walk away feeling more confident about their ideas and their ability to create something meaningful, then I believe the session has achieved something worthwhile.
A big thank you to everyone who has trusted me with the opportunity to share, guide, and learn alongside them.
I'm also grateful to the fellow mentors, organizers, and everyone involved in making these learning experiences possible.
And here's another reminder I keep learning myself:
A good mentor doesn't need to have all the answers. Sometimes, the best thing a mentor can do is ask the right question.
P.S. From mentoring business ideas to joining a potluck with wonderful people, I guess my learning philosophy is consistent. Good things happen when people bring something to the table. Sometimes, literally. 😂❤️
Keep learning. Keep sharing. Keep creating impact.

24 Hours, Zero Sleep, Infinite Growth 🌍🎤
https://www.instagram.com/p/DfPVaXpox_T/?mdxt=eWtiZGM5MWxybml6
They say time flies when you are having fun. But what happens when you spend 24 straight hours diving deep into leadership, communication, and global learning?
If you asked my coffee mug during the Toastmasters International 24-Hour Global Learning Marathon, it would officially file for a labor union. But looking back at the numbers, every single sleepless minute was entirely worth it!
We didn't just talk about growth; we lived it across 24 Districts, with 24 incredible speakers, and an astonishing 24 hours of continuous learning. As someone who spends a lot of time on stages speaking, facilitating, and occasionally pacing around a room wondering where I left my clicker, this marathon reminded me of a vital truth: the moment we think we know it all is probably the exact moment we stop growing.
What the Numbers and Our Global Family Say
Let’s talk data, because quantitative reports don't lie, even if my bed head after hour 20 definitely did:
1. The Global Reach: Participants from across continents logged in, proving that curiosity has no time zone.
2. The Engagement: From the early hours of leadership frameworks to late-night deep dives into presentation mastery, chat boxes were buzzing with real-time epiphanies.
3. The Feedback: As one participant brilliantly put it, "I came for one specific topic, but stayed for three hours because every speaker unlocked a completely new perspective." Another shared, "It felt less like a marathon and more like a global masterclass tour without paying for airline tickets!"
Why We Fall in Love with the Process
Every single learning session boiled down to three timeless pillars that keep us hooked:
1. New Perspectives: Hearing leaders across different cultures tackle communication taught us that there is never just one way to solve a leadership puzzle.
2. Stronger Communication: Whether it was a session on executive presence or storytelling, we refined the craft of turning complex ideas into human connections.
3. Global Connection: Proving that no matter where we are on the map, we all share the same drive to inspire, connect, and elevate one another.
Let’s keep the momentum going. Stay curious, keep learning, and remember: even after years of speaking, my best lesson always comes from the next person I listen to. 🌍✨

MY FEED NEEDS A COMEDY INTERVENTION! 😂📱
https://www.instagram.com/p/DfRruBupcIJ/?mdxt=OW4zcHIxNmd2cXl6
📱 I have a confession. Sometimes I open social media just to check one notification. Five minutes later, I’m watching a stranger renovate a house, learning how to cook Korean noodles, and somehow discovering what a cat thinks about the economy.
Wait... WHAT WAS I LOOKING FOR AGAIN? 🤣
We scroll for entertainment.
We scroll for information.
We scroll until our battery, attention span, and common sense start running on 1%. 😂

🚀 PROJECTS NEED PEOPLE, NOT JUST POWERPOINTS! 😁
https://www.instagram.com/p/DfUIUb8xOQe/?mdxt=cnFqZzJpc3Ntdmpm
THE RIGHT PEOPLE,
THE RIGHT EXPERTISE, and
THE RIGHT EXECUTION.
🔥 POWERING PROJECTS WITH PEOPLE, EXPERTISE & EXECUTION

Saya punya satu pertanyaan:
Grow with the Right Partner. Let's make things happen! 🚀😁

A New View from the Judge’s Chair
https://www.instagram.com/p/DfV0WcSo1Fa/?dlrf=MTFxcmIyMmg4NzVqZw==
Sometimes, the best way to become a better speaker is to stop speaking and start listening.
I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I am featured in the November issue of Toastmaster Magazine, alongside my dear friends Roger Caesar, DTM and Alexandre Matte from the GREAT CONVOS Podcast.
Thank you, Cora Gaane and Sheryl Roush, Accredited Speaker, CVP , for noticing the article and bringing it to my attention. This is my third consecutive year being featured in Toastmasters International Magazine. I feel grateful, humbled, and still a little surprised that my words have travelled further than my speeches!
The article, “A New View From the Judge’s Chair,” explores something I find very important about speech contests: judging is not about finding the speaker you personally like most. It is about being fair, listening carefully, and applying the right criteria.
One thought I shared in the article that got quoted captures my approach:
“Judge the speech you heard, not the speech you would have given.”
It sounds simple, but it takes practice.
As judges, we need to look beyond personal preferences. We must consider the structure, the message, and the delivery. A speaker may use a different style, tell a different story, or take a different approach. That does not automatically make the speech less effective.
I remember judging two speakers with very different styles. One was more energetic and expressive, while the other was quieter and more thoughtful. Both deserved to be evaluated on their own merits, not against my personal speaking preferences.
That experience reminded me that judging is also a learning opportunity. It trains us to listen differently, recognise different strengths, and become more aware of our own biases.
After all, a good judge does not judge by personal taste, volume, or charisma alone. The goal is to give every speaker a fair chance to be heard.
And here is the interesting part: when we learn to judge better, we also learn to speak better.
I am proud to be part of World Travelers Club, an online Toastmasters club based in Singapore , District 80. It continues to give me opportunities to learn, share, and grow with people from different backgrounds.
If you want to become a better communicator, try stepping into a different role. Be a speaker, be an evaluator, and perhaps be a contest judge.
You may discover that a new view from the judge’s chair can change the way you see the stage forever.

At Humor911, we believe laughter can create connection, reduce tension, and help us see life's challenges from a different perspective.
We are not relationship therapists. We won't promise to fix your heartbreak. We won't magically make your ex come back. And honestly, we're not sure that's a good idea anyway! 🤣
But we can offer you:
* A safe space to laugh without judgment.
* Comedy that connects people through shared experiences.
* Fresh perspectives on life's awkward and complicated moments.
* A community where you can laugh, connect, and feel less alone.

Don't expect someone else to complete you. Don't expect a relationship to repair everything inside you.

WHEN BUSINESS PAIN POINTS NEED MORE THAN A QUICK FIX!
https://www.instagram.com/p/DfcKXScRCpw/?vrfl=a2d6b3U3aHRubDht
Sometimes, the pain is not where you think it is. The same applies to business! 😅
📍 5 September, Jakarta.
I started experiencing pain around my lower back, buttocks, and down my leg. I thought it was ordinary muscle pain or fatigue.
Then, on Monday, 2 November, it came back, even worse.
I've been on bed rest since then. Walking, sitting, changing positions, and even sleeping comfortably became challenging.
Imagine wanting to stand up, but your body keeps saying, "Meeting postponed!" 😂
Today, 7 November, I finally received acupuncture treatment and started feeling better. I'm grateful for the improvement and hope to recover fully.
This experience reminded me of an important business lesson:
PAIN POINTS ARE NOT ALWAYS THE REAL PROBLEM.
In health, the place where you feel pain isn't necessarily where the problem starts.
In business, declining sales, messy operations, failed ERP, or ineffective marketing might simply be symptoms of a bigger issue.
That's where three roles come in.
🎯 COACH: THE PERSON
Like a personal trainer. A coach develops YOU, your mindset, leadership, habits, and capabilities.
🔍 CONSULTANT: THE PROBLEM
Like a medical specialist. A consultant solves a specific problem within their expertise, whether operations, IT, or marketing.
🏢 ADVISORY: THE BIG DECISION
Like a trusted family doctor who understands your overall situation and coordinates the specialists you need.
Business owners face major decisions:
- Should I open a second factory?
- Should I hand over the business to my children?
- Should I bring in an investor?
- Should I close a business unit?
They need a thinking partner who helps validate these decisions, coordinate expertise, and stay involved until the strategy becomes reality.
THIS IS WHAT I DO AT PRAEVIA STRATEGIC DECISIONS MAKING ADVISORY.
I help business owners anticipate and prevent business pain points before they become bigger problems. I support strategic decisions and their execution across the organization.
Remember:
Coach → The Person.
Consultant → The Problem.
Advisory → The Big Decision and Its Execution.
PREVENT THE PAIN BEFORE IT BECOMES A CRISIS.
While I help business owners prevent business pain points, I'm learning to take better care of my own body.
Apparently, even a professional speaker needs to know when to stop speaking and start resting! 😂
🙏 A LITTLE PERSONAL REQUEST
I'd appreciate your prayers for my recovery. I've been on bed rest since 2 November and hope to regain my strength and return to my usual activities soon.
I miss networking, meeting people, facilitating workshops, and speaking on stage.
Whether in health or business, don't ignore the pain. Find the real problem before it becomes a crisis!
