Happy Winter Solstice friends! The Sun has now entered into Capricorn, or Makara rashi as we call it in jyotish. Capricorn is so misunderstood in pop culture. It was not until I understood it in the light of Vedic Astrology that I truly came to appreciate the 10th sign. Check out this video I made if you wanna know what Capricorn is about according to Parashara

Look at all the statements the spiritual master Avatar Meher Baba stated about the cosmos that science was only able to verify more recently! This is one of the most amazing presentations Ive seen in a long time.

The Sun is now in Aquarius, one of my favorite signs, and where my own sun is at. I was pondering the symbolism of Aquarius and had a new insight https://eyeoftheveda.com/2022/01/aquarius/

Today the Sun is exactly conjunct Saturn, this is an inauspicious transit. Mercury has gone back to direct motion, but it may be good to be cautious today. Dont push too hard, especially around the elderly

Also, this sunday Im having a chat and study with astrologers of all levels and backgrounds at this “astrolijam” meetup on sunday. We plan to discuss the upcoming eclipse in may, and this is totally free and wont be posted to youtube or anything. Its just for sharing astrological ideas and getting input from anyone who wants to “jam” with us, if you will.
I have no idea how it will go but Heres a lil post on it from the host, Fiona Marques

And with Mars and Venus in planetary war, be sure to speak clearly and distinctly in your relationships and dealings with others. Varahamihira says when Mars is losing the war to Venus, people that speak unclearly or indistinctly will suffer. ✌🏼🕉

A very simple lesson on how to read the two main charts of vedic astrology, the north and south indian charts, and what they are best at showing. This is part of the ongoing jyotish course which can now be taken along with the nakshatra course for the price of one, just $27/month. With Jupiter in pisces and ketu in scorpio, its a wonderful time to be going deep into the Vedangas!
