Date: Sunday 12/02/2023
Starting at: 18:00 PM
Duration: 4-6 hours
Language: Russian
This Sunday (12/02/23) at 18:00 we'll write our second (and hopefully not the last) Haskell program.
Part I:
We'll continue wrapping our heads around monads and speak more about syntax and semantics.
Part II:
Practice.
Bring your own laptops with GHC and Cabal pre-installed (this is a requirement)

ALGO MEETUP
11 Feb Saturday 14:00 - 19:00
Series of events, dedicated to learning algorithms and solving LeetCode problems. Nice option to prepare for job interviews.
topic: Graphs part 1
At first we will have a small lecture about topological sort, shortest paths, Eulerian and Hamilton paths. Then we will solve 3-4 medium/hard LeetCode problems together using these algorithms. Use your favorite programming language.
Minimal participant requirements: you have already successfully solved easy problems at LeetCode.
Max 10 people, please comment if you want to participate and not already in the group.

Unlocking the secrets of networks: L3
Date: 16.02.2023
Time: 20:30
Registration: in comments
Join us for a lecture on the fundamentals of Layer 3 (L3) protocols in computer networks.
In this session, we will dive deep into the mechanics of IP addressing, subnetting, netmasks, netmask counting, and classless addressing.
We will explore the IPv4 protocol and its packet structure, including the sub protocols needed for IP, ICMP, PMTU discovery, and PMTU black hole.
We will also discuss Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) and Reverse Address Resolution Protocol (RARP) and how they relate to L3 networking.
Additionally, we will cover Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) and how it fits into L3 networks.
Lastly, we will examine the latest version of the IP protocol, IPv6, and its subprotocols.
We will compare and contrast IPv4 and IPv6 and discuss their respective benefits and drawbacks.
This lecture is perfect for anyone who wants to gain a better understanding of L3 networks and their underlying protocols.

Seminar: category theory
for deep learning
When: 19 Feb Sunday 14:00-16:00
Lang: RU
Where: main room
We'll follow a recent course β cats.for.ai β to take a peek at recent advances in distilling ad-hoc machine learning constructs to algebra.
The course we're going to follow promises to provide an accessible introduction to category theory targeted at deep learning practitioners. The authors suggest that ML can benefit greatly from CT's compositional ideas, and that category theory will become an essential element in the machine learning researchers' toolbox.
We'll see if that rings true for us at the seminar.
Check out Lecture 1 of the course to prepare.
Shall you get stuck, pop over to the chat β weβll try to help.
