Pitch Report by Danny Morrison and Kevin Pietersen:
Morrison: "A little bit of cloud cover around but the dimensions, we know this is not the biggest ground going around. To my right, it is 65m and even shorter to my 64m, straight down the ground is only 73m. Now, a man who has enjoyed batting here quite a lot, Kevin Pietersen is here. What do you make of this?"
Pietersen: "The weather conditions are good. So, I think we are set for a lovely batting display. There's couple of pacers running around. You are going to be need to be very good on this surface. Yes, there are a few bare patches. I am not sure they will make too much of an impact.
You have talked about the dimensions, you see the size of these players, the muscles of these players, the sizes of their bats - these boundaries aren't big enough. You take guard on this surface and you say to yourself — runs. Having said that, win the toss and chase."
