π₯ΆMarkets are frozen in anticipation of Jerome Powell today's speech.
No one doubts that the Federal Reserve will raise the rate immediately by 0.5%, which is already included in the current market decline. The only question is what course the Fed will take next:
βWill Powell mention a probable increase by 75 basis points?
βHow fast will the FED shrink the balance sheet?
βWill the inflation target be increased?
βHow the Fed plans to support the stock market, which has already turned bearish?
Today, at 21:00 MT time, we will find out the "global loot button" owners' plans.
β’οΈThe crypto is trading in the range. BTC has been hanging up and down under the $40 000 mark for the last few days. If Powell says something negative, we might see the $37 000 downside breakout and subsequent move to $31 000. On the other hand, if Powell's forecasts are not so cruel, there is a chance to return to $42 000 - the primary resistance before flying to $45 000 and then $50 000.
πUS500 might plunge to 4060-4100 at the beginning of the press conference, levels that buyers defended a couple of days ago. Consider looking for BUY trades with short stop-losses around these levels.
