๐คซ Iโve been quietly building this for a while. Time to show it.๐คซ
Every DV season, people around us get stuck on the same things: a rejected photo, a mistyped name, no dollar card to pay with, or not knowing what to fill in. I kept helping people one by one, so I built a platform that does it properly.
What DVApply does:
๐ธ Photo check:
we help make sure your photo meets the official requirements before itโs submitted
๐ Careful review:
details are checked for the mistakes that cost people their entry
๐ต Pay in Birr:
no dollars, no foreign card, no bank headaches
โ๏ธ Confirmation number by email:
after submission, you get your DV confirmation number so you can check your result later
๐ข News and updates:
DV Lottery news and useful guides in one place
๐ฌ Real human support:
you can message a person when youโre stuck
๐ Works from anywhere in Ethiopia, on phone or laptop

I was thinking of adding more languages to reach more Ethiopian users ๐ช๐น๐ Currently, Dvapply.et is running on two main languages: ยท ๐ฌ๐ง English ยท ๐ช๐น Amharic The new languages I want to add are: ยท ๐ณ Oromoic ยท ๐ด๐ก Tigrinya I already have the translationsโฆ
Remember when I mentioned adding Afaan Oromo and Tigrinya to DVApply.et? It's done!โ
The website now supports:
A big thanks to everyone who has been helping review the translations!
But we're not done yet.
If you spot any translation that sounds unnatural, doesn't make sense, or needs correction, please let me know. Your feedback will help make DVApply.et more accessible to Ethiopians in their own languages.

After months of planning, building, and marketing, DVApply.et is on hold. โธ
I launched it to make the DV application process easier and more convenient for Ethiopians. Seeing people trust the platform and become customers even before DV-2027 registration opened was the most rewarding part of this journey.๐
But registration hasnโt opened as expected, so the launch is paused until it does. Itโs disappointing after all the work, but I donโt see this as a failure. Iโm proud of what we built.
The biggest lesson: building a product isnโt just about writing code. Itโs about understanding a real problem, creating a solution, and reaching the people who actually need it.
To everyone who supported the project, shared our posts, gave feedback, and trusted us with your information: thank you.โค๏ธ
I hope the day comes when registration opens and DVApply.et gets to do what it was built for.
