The key driver behind many currency moves.

When analysing forex, focus on interest rate expectations.

Currencies often move based on what markets think central banks will do next.

A currency can strengthen when investors expect its interest rates to stay higher than another country’s.

Economic data matters because it can change expectations for future rate decisions.


For example, stronger inflation may make markets expect a central bank to keep rates higher for longer.

That can support the currency if expectations shift more than they do for the other currency in the pair.

So don’t look at one country’s data in isolation.


Always try to think:

Is this data going to support a view where we think the central bank will increase rates?

Or is this data going to support a view where we think the CB will decrease rates?

I want you to understand one thing.

You don't NEED to trade fundamentals.

It is just one way of trading.

There are a million of ways of doing.

Don't try to add new confluences to an already working strategy.

This means market makers will expect the interest rates to stay strong!

Therefore, you'll get a stronger USD.

Very easy to read.

If you decide to trade fundamentals, you must keep it simple.

Few data to monitor; and a technical plan that helps you get entries & exits. That's it.

My approach to anything in trading is always the same:
