📅 Gaelium Weekly Progress
Week of September 13 to 20, 2026
📊 GAEL is now listed on hashrate.no
Full coverage, difficulty, revenue and yield per MH/s, a calculator that factors in your power cost, and a solo mining estimate. If you mine, it answers the profitability question from a source with no connection to us.
https://www.hashrate.no/coins/GAEL
The link is on the mining page too, next to the card tables, and they are in the site footer now. That makes five trackers with CoinGecko, LiveCoinWatch, Blockspot and MiningPoolStats.
🖥 Homepage rebuilt
The front page had not changed since launch and was written for miners. It now explains why the project exists before what it is, and there is a new section on where things actually stand. Tell us what you think.

📢 Getting the word out
We have started putting real time into being found. The X account is active again and we are answering technical questions where people already talk about mining.
If you are not following us on X yet, that is the easiest thing you can do for the project this week.

📊 CoinPaprika now shows accurate data for GAEL
CoinPaprika picked up Gaelium on its own after CoinGecko, but the circulating supply was missing. We asked them to fix it and it's done, the figures now match what the chain reports.
https://coinpaprika.com/coin/gael-gaelium/
It's in the site footer too, alongside CoinGecko, LiveCoinWatch, Blockspot, MiningPoolStats and hashrate.no. That's six trackers now.
A small step, but trust gets built one correct source at a time.

📅 Gaelium Weekly Progress
Week of September 20 to 27, 2026
⚙️ Next daemon release, 4.6.1.2
We are working on the next version of the Gaelium daemon and it should be out within two weeks. Nothing about it is urgent, so there is no need to rush an update when it lands, but everyone will want to move over eventually and we will say when it matters.
All our wallets get updated alongside it, desktop and mobile, as v1.0.2. Release notes will come with the build.
📢 Getting the chain known
The heavy technical stretch is mostly behind us, so the hours are going somewhere else now. A good part of this week went into answering questions where miners and crypto people already talk, rather than into shipping code. It is slower and far less visible than a release, and it is where we are genuinely behind.
If you are not following us on X yet, that is still the easiest thing you can do for the project.

While working on the nodes we found the pool was learning about new blocks late, up to 20 seconds after they landed. When two blocks came close together the second one sometimes got no job at all. That is fixed. New work now reaches miners within a second of each block, so less hashing goes to waste.

Node versions on the network page now refresh every 5 minutes, and nodes that have been gone for more than 6 hours drop off the list. Once 4.6.1.2 is out you will be able to watch the network move over to it.

⚙️ 𝗚𝗮𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘃𝟰.𝟲.𝟭.𝟮 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁
Maintenance release with no consensus change, so it runs side by side with older versions on the same chain. No rush, but we recommend updating if you run a node or a pool.
The main fix is block propagation after long gaps. When more than 40 minutes passed without a block, nodes could stop picking up new blocks from some pools, and the chain could stall until another pool found one. That is fixed.
Assets are now clearly reported as unsupported, and Linux, Windows and macOS are all built from the same commit.
Wallet users don't need to do anything. The wallets will include the new daemon in their next update.

Early this week the chain stalled for a while after a long gap between blocks. We traced it to how nodes fetch new blocks once the last one is more than 40 minutes old, fixed it, ran it on our own nodes first, and shipped it on Thursday for Linux, Windows and macOS. Gaelium (GAEL) - Fair GPU Mining Cryptocurrency
Proof-of-work blockchain currency - independent, with a predictable, degressive emission followed by a minimal perpetual tail of 5 GAEL per block, and fully decentralized. The community-owned alternative to government-controlled digital money.

A quieter week on the surface. Most of our time went into the new wallets and into one security update that could not wait.
🔧 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 & 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲
- The new desktop wallets for Windows, macOS and Linux are in their final stretch. They embed daemon 4.6.1.2 and add a few things you asked for, such as sending from a specific address with the change returning to it, and easier sharing of your receive QR code.
- We hope to release them this week, once testing is complete on all three platforms.
- Two critical PHP vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619) were published on October 21. Our pool was the only Gaelium server running PHP. It was patched the same evening and mining was never interrupted.
- Doing it properly took a large part of the week, with backups, a rollback plan and checks on every server. Not something we were willing to postpone.
- The Electrum 4.8.3 issue disclosed this week does not affect Gaelium wallets. The desktop wallets run their own full node and the mobile wallets use our own code with pinned servers.
🌐 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 & 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Hey everyone 👋
We've been a bit quiet lately, but there's a good reason. We're deep in the work on the new desktop wallets for Windows, macOS and Linux, and things are moving fast.
What's coming
- The latest Gaelium Core daemon built in
- Choose which address a payment comes from
- Easier QR code sharing
- A lot of security work under the hood
Windows is already tested and validated, macOS and Linux are in testing right now.
More news very soon. Thanks for sticking with us ⛏️
