📊 Gaelium Weekly Progress - Week of July 27 to August 2, 2026
Fifth weekly note. Focus: CoinGecko live, organic aggregator growth, and major iOS wallet security work.
🔧 Development & Infrastructure
- iOS wallet reached functional parity with our Android v1.0.0 wallet: create, import/restore, send with real fee display, receive with QR, encrypted backup export, and QR address scanning
- Independent security audit completed on the network layer. We hardened the wallet so that even a compromised server cannot cause fund loss or hide fees, and added fee safeguards. This is the main reason it took longer than planned: we chose to do it properly rather than rush
- Cross-platform backup with Android v1.0.0 fully supported (both ways)
- Independent infrastructure: all 3 ElectrumX nodes and the block explorer run on Gaelium-owned servers
🌐 Community & Aggregator Listings
- CoinGecko listing is now LIVE with real-time data and up-to-date circulating supply: https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/gaelium
- Organic growth is working: since CoinGecko, GAEL now appears on CoinPaprika and other trackers with no paid submission. We are completing the remaining fields (like supply) everywhere
- CoinMarketCap submission filed on the free track, review in progress
- Search visibility keeps improving: Google surfaces more GAEL results as the organic footprint grows
- Pool network update: Mining4People has closed. Five pools now support GAEL: pool.gaelium.io, rplant, MiningCrypto.Online, GaelPool, and Zpool
📈 Network Snapshot (August 2, 2026)
- Blockcount: 33381
- Coins mined by the community: ~33M
- Treasury (locked, cold storage): 10M GAEL
- Circulating supply: ~43M GAEL
- Network hashrate: ~8 GH/s
- Difficulty: ~207
- Mainnet age: 49 days
🎯 Next Focus
- iOS wallet: final testing on real devices, then release during the coming week
- Complete our data on CoinPaprika and other aggregators
- CoinMarketCap review follow-up and continued community outreach

📊 *Gaelium Weekly Progress - Week of August 3 to 9, 2026*
Sixth weekly. Focus: the iOS wallet is out.
🔧 *Development & Infrastructure*
- iOS wallet v1.0.0 released. Download and SHA-256: https://gaelium.io/#downloads
- Source code public under MIT: https://github.com/gaeliumcore/gaelium-wallet-ios
- Not on the App Store, so it installs by sideloading. A full step by step guide is published and linked right under the download card
- Tested on a real iPhone before release. Six issues came back and all six were fixed, then re-tested on device
- Android v1.0.1 in preparation, including the same amount entry fix
🌐 *Community & Communication*
- New community pool: btc3forge, hosted in France. 0.5% PPLNS, no registration, payouts straight to your address, and a dedicated GAEL page: https://btc3forge.com/gaelium.html
- Seven pools now support GAEL. The full list with stratum addresses is in the links and resources channel on our Discord
- Gaelium is now on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@Gaeliumio. Useful videos will be published there regularly
📈 *Network Snapshot (August 9, 2026)*
- Blockcount: 38136
- Coins mined by the community: 38M
- Treasury (locked, cold storage): 10M GAEL
- Circulating supply: 48M
- Network hashrate: 8.6 GH/s
- Difficulty: 208
- Mainnet age: 55 days
🎯 *Next Focus*
- Next desktop wallet version, targeted for around August 20. It will show the GAEL market price in the wallet and add QR code support, lining up with the mobile wallets so addresses move between desktop and mobile more easily
- Android v1.0.1 release
- First videos on the YouTube channel
One more thing: development pauses from August 11 to 17. The channels stay monitored, so nothing changes there. Work resumes on the 18th, and next Sunday's weekly will be a short one.

The page compares the pools mining GAEL side by side, with fee, minimum payout,
miner count and blocks found, and it tracks network hashrate, difficulty, block
height and average block time. Data refreshes every few minutes.
It also gathers our links in one place: website, explorer, source code, Discord,
Telegram and X, plus the WhatToMine and CryptUnit calculators.
Not every pool mining GAEL is listed yet. If you mine on one that is missing,
the "Missing pool ?" link on the page is how an operator gets it added.

Security update: what happened, and where we stand
https://github.com/gaeliumcore/Gaelium/releases/tag/v1.0.1
THE CAUSE. A vulnerability was found in the KawPoW block header validation code. It comes from the Ravencoin codebase, which Gaelium is forked from, and it affects every chain built on it. Ravencoin itself was attacked on August 7, which caused a chain split and a three day rollback on their network. As of today, Ravencoin has still not published an official fix.
GAELIUM WAS NEVER ATTACKED. We verified every single block from genesis to the current tip, before and after fixing. No invalid block, no chain split, no anomaly of any kind. The supply matches the expected emission to the satoshi.
WHAT WE DID THIS WEEK. We wrote our own fix rather than wait. We reproduced the attack in an isolated lab to confirm it was real, then proved the fix blocks it. We tested the patched daemon against 845 real blocks before touching anything in production. All four of our nodes were upgraded on Tuesday evening, with a total downtime of a few seconds each.
Windows and Linux daemon builds are published, with source code and SHA256SUMS so anyone can verify what they run. The macOS build follows shortly.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU. Your funds are not at risk. This issue cannot create, spend or move coins. Mobile wallets connect through our nodes and are already covered. The desktop wallet still embeds the previous daemon, and an updated build is planned for around August 20. Keeping a wallet backup remains good practice, as always.

📊 *Gaelium Weekly Progress - Week of August 10 to 16, 2026*
This was supposed to be a quiet week. It did not turn out that way.
🔧 *Development & Infrastructure*
- A consensus vulnerability inherited from the Ravencoin codebase became public. Gaelium was patched roughly 48 hours later, and the fixed daemon v1.0.1 is now live.
- We verified the Gaelium chain was never affected, and no funds were ever at risk. This class of bug affects block header validation only. It cannot create, spend or move coins.
- Windows and Linux binaries are available on gaelium.io with SHA-256 checksums. The source and tag are pushed to GitHub, so the fix is verifiable by anyone and reusable by other KawPoW chains.
- Operators running their own nodes were contacted directly.
- Versioning note: the daemon and the desktop wallet are numbered independently. The wallet still shows v1.0.1 and still embeds the previous daemon. An updated wallet follows.
🌐 *Community & Communication*
- Recap for those who missed it: Gaelium has been listed on MiningPoolStats since 10 August, tagged as a new coin, with our explorer, pools, GitHub and community links on the page.
📈 *Network Snapshot*
- Block height: 42,477
- Network hashrate: 4.55 GH/s
- Difficulty: 119.58
- Coin supply: ~52.8M GAEL (premine included)
- Mined by the community: ~42.8M GAEL
- Mainnet age: 62 days
🎯 *Next Focus*
- macOS daemon build
- Desktop wallet v1.0.2, with the patched daemon embedded

🍎 *macOS daemon v1.0.1 is out*
The macOS daemon and CLI are now available in v1.0.1. All three platforms now run the same 4.6.1.1 build, with the block header validation fix.
*A second issue is fixed as well.* The previous macOS binary was linked to Homebrew libraries by absolute path and would not start on a Mac that did not have them installed. The new build links only against the macOS system libraries, so it runs on a clean system.
*Requirements:* macOS 14 or later, Intel. Apple Silicon works through Rosetta 2. These binaries are not universal. The macOS build does not include UPnP, which is off by default on every platform anyway.
Downloads and checksums: https://gaelium.io/#downloads
Release and source: https://github.com/gaeliumcore/Gaelium/releases/tag/v1.0.1
As always, verify what you download against SHA256SUMS.
*What comes next:* we are now starting the wallet updates, so the wallets ship with the corrected daemon inside.

Gaelium Wallet v1.0.2 for Windows is out.
This is the biggest update the desktop wallet has had since launch, and we recommend installing it for security reasons.
Install it over your current version. Your wallet, keys, addresses and blockchain data are all preserved, and no upgrade step is required. That said, back up your wallet first anyway: it takes a few seconds, and having a recent backup is a good habit whatever you are about to do.
What you will notice
QR codes now bridge the desktop and the mobile wallets. Scan an address shown on your desktop straight into your phone instead of retyping 34 characters, and move a private key between wallets the same way. The Windows, Android and iOS wallets all read each other.
The fee shown before you confirm a payment is now the real fee of the exact transaction that will be broadcast, down to the last satoshi. It used to be a fixed number that had nothing to do with what you actually paid.
The Max button now fills in the largest amount you can really send. The old one quietly left coins behind every single time.
Every payment, and every private key export, is now confirmed in a window that the wallet interface cannot draw or alter. What you approve is what gets broadcast.
The first synchronization has been rebuilt from scratch. It used to look like it had crashed.
And the wallet now ships the patched Gaelium Core v1.0.1 daemon, the exact same binary published on gaelium.io, so you can verify it yourself.

Made a short demo of the new Windows wallet, since a video says it better than release notes.
38 seconds: sending GAEL, from the send screen to the transaction appearing in the list.
What I wanted to show is the confirmation window, because that is the part that changed the most.
The fee you see there is the real fee of the exact transaction that will be broadcast, not an estimate, and that window is drawn by the wallet core itself so the interface cannot fake it.

🍎 Gaelium Wallet v1.0.2 for macOS is out
The macOS wallet now embeds the patched Gaelium Core daemon v1.0.1, the exact same binary published on gaelium.io. We recommend updating for security reasons.
Your wallet, keys, addresses and blockchain data are preserved. Install over your current version, there is nothing to back up or restore first.
What changes:
- A daemon you can verify yourself, byte for byte against the site
- Real fees instead of estimates, down to the last satoshi
- A confirmation window the interface cannot fake, for payments and for revealing a private key
- A synchronization screen that finally makes sense
- Two macOS specific fixes
Before you download: requires macOS 14 or later.
This build is not signed with an Apple Developer certificate, so macOS will block it the first time you open it. To allow it, open System Settings, go to Privacy and Security, scroll to the notice about the blocked application, and allow it there. This is needed once per version.
