We cracked it. The only Safari deeplinks available on the market.

While everyone else is redirecting your visitors to Chrome or showing popups, we found a way to reopen Safari deeplinks on Meta platforms. No Chrome redirect. No popup. No extra tap. Just a straight path from click to conversion.

Heads up: Instagram flagged a lot of links in the last 48h ⚠️

Over the past two days Instagram has been flagging links on a big scale. It's not only adult links. Safe links got hit too, and on some accounts even instagram.com or youtube.com links got flagged.
This isn't a GetMySocial issue. Every link provider got hit, whether the link was in the bio or a highlight. On our side, about 1 in 3 pages are still up and bringing in traffic. A custom domain can help, but it's not a guarantee.

Here's what we recommend to limit traffic loss:
-If your account hasn't been hit, don't touch the link
-No links in highlights for now, only story CTAs
-Mix your link stories with regular CTA stories
-Use videos for your CTAs. They perform better and get flagged less than plain pictures
-Don't show too much skin

We're keeping a close eye on it and will update you if anything changes 🫡

October recap: our most advanced protection yet

Instagram changed how it treats links at the end of September. We’ve been shipping all month, and the video shows all of it.

Our recommended setting
On page load + the open-in-browser screen.

Hiding links from your page’s code is no longer enough. Instagram’s in-app browser also sees what your page loads after it opens.

With this setting, your links are never sent to it. Your page reopens in Safari or Chrome, and visitors who stay in the app only see your name and one button.

Editor › Settings › Open in the visitor’s browser › On page load

Existing links kept their settings, so switch it on for each link.
