What Happens When the Last Bitcoin is Mined? 🤔
#Bitcoin is fundamentally different from traditional money — no additional tokens can be issued once the cap is reached. It’s projected that the total 21 million bitcoins will be mined by 2140. Satoshi Nakamoto, Bitcoin's creator, designed this limit to prevent inflation. The mining reward is halved every four years, ensuring controlled supply growth.
When all bitcoins are mined, no new coins will be produced. However, transactions will continue to be processed and miners will earn rewards through transaction fees instead of new bitcoins.
This scarcity could drive up Bitcoin's value. Miners might charge higher fees for processing transactions, especially large or high-value ones. Layer 2 solutions like the Lightning Network could make everyday Bitcoin transactions more efficient.
As Bitcoin's supply reaches its limit, its value might soar. However, predicting the future is complex. The value of Bitcoin has already seen significant changes over the past decade.

🎓 GoMining Academy: Understanding the Nakamoto Consensus
Welcome to the GoMining Academy! Today, we're diving into the Nakamoto Consensus, the foundational protocol that powers Bitcoin and ensures the integrity of its blockchain.
🔑 What is the Nakamoto Consensus?
The Nakamoto Consensus is a protocol that enables blockchain networks to achieve agreement on the state of the blockchain. It ensures that all network participants agree on a single, secure version of the blockchain, preventing issues like double-spending.
⚙️ Key Components:
1. Proof-of-Work (PoW): Miners solve complex mathematical problems to add new blocks to the blockchain. The first to solve the problem gets to add the block and receive rewards.
2. Block Difficulty: The difficulty of mining adjusts periodically to maintain a consistent block creation rate.
3. Decentralization: Consensus is achieved through the collective effort of miners globally, ensuring no single entity controls the network.
🛡️ Security and Integrity:
The Nakamoto Consensus maintains network security through PoW, decentralization, and economic incentives for miners. Miners are motivated to act honestly, as malicious behavior would be costly and unrewarding.
🌐 Why It Matters:
This consensus mechanism is crucial for Bitcoin's success, ensuring a trustless and secure financial system. It allows Bitcoin to function without a central authority, making it resilient and transparent.

🎓 GoMining Academy: Bitcoin Scaling Trends
Continuing our learning journey, GoMiners, today we dive into the latest insights on Bitcoin scaling from Binance’s report, The Future of Bitcoin #3: Scaling Bitcoin:
🔍 Why do we need to scale Bitcoin?
Bitcoin scalability has been a topic since 2009, when Satoshi Nakamoto implemented a 1MB block limit. With innovations like Ordinals, Inscriptions, BRC-20 tokens, and Runes, transaction fees have surged, highlighting the need for scalable solutions to manage increasing transaction volumes and prevent network congestion.
⚙️ Key Developments:
Technologies like Taproot and BitVM are expanding Bitcoin's capabilities. Lightning Network and RGB are enhancing P2P transactions and introducing smart contracts while maintaining Bitcoin’s integrity.
💡 Layer 2 Solutions:
Despite Bitcoin’s high valuation, Layer 2 solutions have only ~$2B in total value locked, compared to Ethereum’s $45B, showing significant potential for growth. As Bitcoin's expressivity evolves and DeFi primitives like stablecoins and money markets emerge, the importance of L2 solutions will grow. Projects like zkEVM rollups using BitVM show promise but are still in development. Exciting advancements are expected in the coming months.

🎓 GoMining Academy: Debunking Bitcoin Myths Part 2
Continuing our journey to dispel common myths about Bitcoin, let's dive into three more misconceptions and set the record straight.
🔍 Myth 4: Bitcoin Lacks Real Value
Some argue that Bitcoin has no intrinsic value, seeing it as purely speculative. However, Bitcoin’s value comes from its decentralized nature, borderless functionality, limited supply, and resistance to censorship. These characteristics make it a valuable asset and potential store of value, increasingly recognized by both individuals and institutions.
🔍 Myth 5: Bitcoin Is Only for Wealthy Investors
There is a belief that Bitcoin investment requires large sums of money, deterring average investors. In truth, Bitcoin is highly divisible, allowing people to buy even small fractions. This makes it accessible to investors of all budgets, with user-friendly exchanges simplifying the process.
🔍 Myth 6: Bitcoin Is Just a Fad
Some think Bitcoin is a temporary trend driven by hype. However, its longevity of over a decade and increasing institutional adoption suggest otherwise. The continuous development of blockchain technology and integration into traditional finance indicate that Bitcoin has long-term staying power.
We'll continue debunking more myths in future posts. Let us know in the comments which other Bitcoin myths you’d like us to address next!

🎓 GoMining Academy: Debunking Bitcoin Myths Part 3
We're concluding our series on Bitcoin myths by addressing three more misconceptions. Let's dive in and clear the air once and for all.
🔍 Myth 7: Bitcoin Transactions Are Slow and Costly
Many believe Bitcoin transactions take too long and are too expensive, particularly during peak times. While this was true in the past, technological advancements like the Lightning Network have significantly improved transaction speeds and reduced costs. By enabling off-chain settlements, the Lightning Network ensures that Bitcoin remains a viable and efficient option for everyday use.
🔍 Myth 8: Altcoins Will Make Bitcoin Obsolete
There's a notion that the rise of altcoins will overshadow Bitcoin. Despite the emergence of many cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin remains the most dominant and trusted due to its first-mover advantage and established network. Altcoins may offer unique features, but Bitcoin's decentralization and robust security continue to make it the leading crypto.
🔍 Myth 9: Bitcoin Has No Practical Applications
Critics argue that Bitcoin is impractical and lacks real-world uses. On the contrary, Bitcoin is increasingly utilized across various sectors. It serves as a reliable store of value, a means of exchange, and a hedge against inflation. Furthermore, Bitcoin and its underlying blockchain technology are transforming industries by enabling secure cross-border transactions, transparent supply chain management, and fostering financial inclusion.

🎓 GoMining Academy: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto?
There are few mysteries in crypto media that are as persistent and intriguing as the identity of the legendary Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin. The question "Who is Satoshi Nakamoto?" has been troubling crypto enthusiasts, financial analysts, and curious observers ever since the Bitcoin White Paper and that legendary BitcoinTalk forum were published in 2008.
The Birth of Bitcoin
On October 31, 2008, a white paper titled "Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System" was published on a cryptography mailing list. The paper, authored by Satoshi Nakamoto, outlined a revolutionary digital currency that would function without the need for a central authority. By January 2009, Nakamoto had mined the first block of Bitcoin, known as the Genesis Block, and the world's first decentralized cryptocurrency was born.
For the next few years, Satoshi continued to develop and communicate about Bitcoin through emails and the online forum BitcoinTalk. However, in 2011, Nakamoto suddenly withdrew from the public eye, leaving the Bitcoin community in the hands of trusted developers. The departure fueled speculation about Nakamoto's identity, as they left behind a trail of innovative ideas and a fortune in Bitcoin — estimated to be over one million BTC.
The Theories: Who Could Satoshi Be?
Since Nakamoto's disappearance, numerous theories have emerged about who might be behind the pseudonym. Some of the most prominent candidates include:
Hal Finney: A respected cryptographer and the first person to receive a Bitcoin transaction from Nakamoto. Finney's involvement in early Bitcoin development, combined with his technical skills, has led many to speculate that he could be Nakamoto. However, Finney, who passed away in 2014, consistently denied being Satoshi.
Nick Szabo: A computer scientist and cryptographer known for his work on "bit gold," a precursor to Bitcoin. Szabo's writings on decentralized currency and his deep knowledge of cryptography make him a strong candidate, though he, too, has denied being Nakamoto.
Dorian Nakamoto: A Japanese-American man named Dorian Prentice Satoshi Nakamoto was famously identified by a journalist in 2014 as the Bitcoin creator. However, Dorian Nakamoto has repeatedly stated that he is not the person behind the pseudonym, and the evidence connecting him to Bitcoin is weak at best.
Craig Wright: An Australian computer scientist who publicly claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto in 2016. Wright's claim has been met with widespread skepticism due to a lack of conclusive evidence and inconsistencies in his story.
A Collective Effort: Some believe that "Satoshi Nakamoto" is not a single person but a group of developers who worked together to create Bitcoin. This theory posits that the name is a collaborative pseudonym, which would explain the broad range of skills and knowledge reflected in Bitcoin's development.
The Importance of Anonymity
Satoshi Nakamoto's anonymity has played a critical role in Bitcoin's success. By remaining anonymous, Nakamoto has avoided the cult of personality that might have developed around him, allowing Bitcoin to grow as a decentralized project free of individual influence. This anonymity has also protected Nakamoto from potential legal and financial repercussions, as governments and financial institutions have not always looked favorably on Bitcoin.
Furthermore, the mystery surrounding Nakamoto has added to Bitcoin's appeal, giving the currency a legendary origin story that continues to fascinate. The unanswered question of Nakamoto's identity has become part of Bitcoin's culture, symbolizing the ideals of privacy, decentralization, and autonomy.

🎂 Tokenomics Annual Results
Hello, friends! It’s been one year since the launch of GoMining's tokenomics! 🎊
⚙️ Here's a quick reminder of how our tokenomics model works:
NFT holders use GOMINING tokens to cover the costs of electricity and maintenance services. Every Tuesday, we take all the tokens received for these expenses and burn them, meaning they are permanently removed from circulation. Then, we mint a smaller number of new tokens, creating a difference between the tokens burned and those newly minted. This difference is permanently removed, effectively reducing the total supply of tokens. As the supply decreases, each remaining token becomes more valuable over time.
📊 Annual Highlights:
🔥 TOTAL TOKENS BURNED PERMANENTLY: 19,540,838 (4.47% of the initial supply)

We expect even greater results in the coming year as we continue to reduce the token supply, driving up the value for all our holders. Thank you for being a part of our GoMining Community.
📍 CURRENT SUPPLY: 417,374,402
📍 TARGET SUPPLY: 100,000,000
🛠 TOTAL PAID FOR MAINTENANCE: 109,910,909

⚒ Miner Wars is live on the GoMining mobile app in beta mode! Are you ready to compete for $GOMINING & $BTC rewards?
💡 How to Play
In #MinerWars, you compete by mining blocks alongside your Clan. The game syncs with the actual Bitcoin blockchain, so when a block is mined in real life, it’s mined in the game too.
Clans with the highest scores have the best chances of winning, but just like on the real blockchain, smaller miners still have a chance to win the BTC block reward. Each round has a reward multiplier (1x-256x).
To get started, simply open the app and select the ‘Miner Wars’ tab. When you join, you can choose between two leagues: Starter or Pro.
🐥 Starter League
You can join the Starter League with a free 16 TH Bonus Miner. To withdraw your rewards, you’ll need to buy a digital miner.
🥇Pro League
Pro League offers tougher competition, but the rewards are bigger as you compete not only for BTC but also $GOMINING token rewards. Join a clan to get started, or create your own with at least 100 TH of Digital Miners.
🪄Boosts
Within a round, your score grows with every second based on your TH power and Boosts.
To increase your chances to win, use Boosts strategically.
🥁 Clan Rewards
Winning Clans are rewarded weekly in BTC, based on the number of mined blocks and the round multipliers.
🎖Personal Rewards
In addition to Clan rewards, one member of the winning Clan also receives a personal reward. The higher your personal score, the better your chances of winning. The amount you receive depends on the prize pool, which is formed by tokens allocated through veGoMining governance voting and the total number of tokens spent on boosts by players during the round.
As a bonus, Clan owners receive a 5% share of all personal rewards distributed within their Clan. The remaining 95% of the rewards are shared among individual players.
Personal rewards are distributed weekly in $GOMINING tokens.
🔧 Upgrades & Discounts
Upgrade your TH power to stay competitive. Use the Service Button and Farm Level Discounts to reduce maintenance fees, and pay in $GOMINING for up to 20% off (only in Pro League)
