Glaucus atlanticus is a small sea slug. It floats on the ocean surface and eats venomous creatures like the Portuguese man oโ€™ war. It stores their stings in its body to defend itself, which makes it poisonous. Its bright blue color warns predators it is dangerous. It grows up to 3 cm and has both male and female organs, called hermaphroditism.

Kyz Kuu, also called โ€œthe kissing game,โ€ is a traditional equestrian game played in parts of Central Asia, especially among Kazakh and Kyrgyz communities. The name means โ€œgirl chasing.โ€ In the game, a young man races on horseback to catch a young woman and kiss her before reaching the finish line. If he fails, the woman chases him back and may whip him playfully while riding.

About 90% of adoptions in Japan are adult adoptions.
The practice is mostly used to continue family lines, pass on businesses, or manage inheritance.
Adopted adults can take the family name and become legal heirs.

Adoption can also happen in same-sex relationships, though such unions are not legally recognized in Japan.

Cats purr at frequencies between 25โ€“150 Hz. These vibrations match ranges studied for bone and tissue growth. Vibrations in this range can trigger cell repair and strengthen bones. Scientists are studying purring to see if it may have healing effects. Purring produces gentle vibrations that move through a catโ€™s body and the surface it rests on.

Among the Suri and Mursi groups in southern Ethiopia, lip plates are a traditional symbol of beauty and social status for women. During puberty, a girlโ€™s mother or another female relative may pierce and gradually stretch the lower lip so clay plates can be worn. In some cases, some lower front teeth (incisors) are removed before larger plates are inserted. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿบ

Naegleria fowleri, the brain-eating amoeba, lives in warm freshwater like lakes and rivers. It can enter the body through the nose during swimming or diving. Once inside, it travels to the brain, causing primary amebic meningoencephalitis (PAM), a rare and usually fatal infection. Most cases occur in the southern United States.

Channel name was changed to ยซ@googlefactss TM [@googlefactss๐ŸŒ]ยป
Long story short, we could take the name @googlefactss as it was available again.
If you are still in the old channel, you will see the posts are being deleted by the new owners.
That channel is now gone and banned because of what they did..

This channel you see now will be similar to the original, but will avoid paid advertising as long as possible.
Cross promotions may happen, but that is different.

Luckily we saved some messages and posts in a back up. Those will be reposted as soon as possible.

We start from scratch, but we are back.

Apologies for all the confusion, but we could only now take the name.

Greetings and salutations,

Team @googlefactss.

During World War II, engineers studied planes that returned from missions. They first thought the areas with the most bullet holes needed armor. Statistician Abraham Wald realized this was survivorship bias. Survivorship bias happens when you focus only on survivors and ignore failures. The undamaged areas on returning planes were actually the critical spots. Planes hit there did not survive. He recommended reinforcing those undamaged areas.

There is a tribe in Zimbabwe who have two toes on each foot. It possibly aids in tree climbing. The condition prevails because of a small genetic pool among the Vadoma and is propagated by the tribal law that forbids members to marry outside the group.
