1. Utility Air Line (Compressed Air)

Purpose: Powers pneumatic systems and tools.

Uses: Operates control valves (actuators).

Drives instruments and automation systems.

Used for cleaning filters or equipment (dry air blow).

Powers pneumatic pumps (if used).

2. Nitrogen Line

Purpose: Provides inert gas to prevent fire, oxidation, or contamination.

Uses: Blanking bitumen storage tanks to prevent contact with oxygen.

Purging pipelines or vessels before maintenance or startup.

Maintaining an inert atmosphere during sensitive operations.

Pressurization or pushing liquids without oxygen contact.

3. Steam Line

Purpose: Heating and temperature control.

Uses: Heat bitumen to reduce viscosity (for pumping or blending).

Tank heating coils and line tracing.

Cleans or flushes lines and equipment (steam out).

May be used in reactors or blending units.

4. Water Line

Purpose: Cooling, cleaning, or processing water.

Uses: Cooling water for heat exchangers or condensers.

Washing or cleaning tanks, lines,
