Joint IDF and ISA announcement:

The IDF and ISA eliminated a senior official in the Hamas terrorist organization’s General Security Mechanism in the Gaza Strip

Earlier today (Tuesday), the IDF and ISA, guided by intelligence, struck in the Gaza City area and eliminated Akram Bassam Shaaban Yassin, a senior official in the Hamas terrorist organization’s General Security Mechanism in the Gaza Strip.

The General Security Mechanism is a central, covert Hamas apparatus responsible for protecting senior Hamas officials. Its senior officials are responsible for securing and transporting Hamas leaders between emergency facilities and compiling intelligence assessments, including intelligence on security forces, to support the organization’s leadership in decision-making and carrying out terrorist attack plans against Israel.

This elimination follows an IDF strikes four months ago in which senior officials in the Hamas terrorist organization’s General Security Mechanism were eliminated. Yassin’s elimination is part of a series of targeted eliminations in the Gaza Strip intended to weaken the General Security Mechanism in the Gaza Strip.

Recently, the terrorist advanced terror attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians and attempted to restore Hamas’ military capabilities, in systematic violation of the ceasefire. The terrorist was eliminated in an aerial strike to remove the threat.

Prior to the strike, measures were taken to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance.

The security forces under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat.
IDF: From Mount Hermon to Eilat, and from Lebanon and Syria to the Gaza Strip: IDF soldiers and commanders have begun voting; more than 850 military polling stations have been deployed across all sectors to enable every service member to exercise their right to vote

IDF Elections Officer ahead of the opening of the polling stations: “Our mission is to enable all IDF service members to exercise their democratic right to vote by secret ballot, including during operational activities and combat beyond the border. The IDF is an apolitical people’s army that will do everything necessary to ensure that the elections are held as scheduled.”

Voting for the 26th Knesset began today (Wednesday), October 21st, 2026, at military polling stations on IDF bases and outposts across all arenas. Voting will continue until the polling stations close on Election Day, subject to operational requirements, in order to enable all service members to exercise their right to vote.

Approximately 850 military polling stations are expected to operate throughout the voting period, a quarter of them mobile polling stations, with the aim of reaching all regular-service personnel and active-duty reservists, on every mission and in every sector.

Joint IDF and ISA announcement:

The IDF and ISA eliminated a Hamas Nukhba terrorist who took part in planning the explosive device attack in which four IDF soldiers from the 52nd Battalion’s tank crew were killed

Earlier this week (Sunday), the IDF and ISA eliminated the terrorist Musa Abd Muhammad Hamouda in an airstrike in the Gaza City area. Hamouda was a Nukhba terrorist in Hamas' military wing and took part in planning the explosive device attack that killed four soldiers from the 52nd Battalion’s tank crew on September 8, 2025. The soldiers killed in the incident were Lieutenant Matan Abramovitz, Sergeant Amit Aryeh Regev, Staff Sergeant Uri Lemad, and Sergeant Gadi Cotal.

His elimination marks a significant milestone for the 162nd Division in holding accountable those responsible for the deaths of its soldiers. The soldiers fell while serving under the division’s command during Operation Gideon’s Chariots, and the 215th Fire Brigade, which operates under the division, has now eliminated the terrorist responsible for their deaths.

Throughout the war, the terrorist repeatedly carried out terrorist activity against IDF troops in the Gaza Strip and targeted IDF troops.

Recently, Hamouda advanced terror attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians and operated to restore the terrorist organization’s military capabilities, in systematic violation of the ceasefire. The terrorist was eliminated in an aerial strike to remove the threat he posed.

Prior to the strike, steps were taken to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance.

The security forces under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to operate to remove any threat.
IDF: Earlier today (Wednesday), a number of harvesters, accompanied by dozens of individuals, arrived to conduct an uncoordinated olive harvest in an area near Beitar Illit. Harvesting in this area requires a request to be submitted to the relevant authorities in advance of the start of the olive harvest season. This coordination is necessary to ensure the security of the area and maintain public order.

Due to the security risk posed by conducting an uncoordinated harvest near an Israeli community, IDF soldiers, Border Police forces in Judea and Samaria, and officers from the Judea and Samaria District Police arrived at the scene and detained those present.

The landowner was informed that he must coordinate the olive harvest on his plot of land and was provided with the relevant contact information to arrange a harvest at a later date.

It should be emphasized that authorized olive harvests have taken place and continue to take place. To date, approximately 100 coordinated harvests have been conducted across Judea and Samaria, yielding many dozens of tons of produce, with security provided and coordination by the security forces, without any unusual incidents.

In areas designated for coordinated harvesting, only harvesters will be permitted to enter, solely for the purpose of harvesting.

As in previous years, security forces are working to facilitate a safe and orderly olive harvest season, with a firm commitment to enabling harvesting without unusual incidents or interruptions, alongside their ongoing defensive and counterterrorism missions.
IDF: “The mission of defending the State of Israel is a responsibility we all share, and it is greater than any disagreement. The IDF is the people’s army, and unity within its ranks is essential to its strength. Officers, leave here and return to your troops. Lead them with courage and wisdom. Know what you are fighting for and whom you are fighting for. I trust you. Together, we will achieve security and victory. The people of Israel are proud of you. Go forth and succeed in your missions.”
