Do not worry!! Your seniors are stepping up to help you. Dear candidate,

You have registered to write the Qualifier exams on April 25, 2021.
Please note that there may be audio questions for the English paper.

Candidates need to bring your own 3.5mm wired headsets/earphones.
With or Without Mic is OK. Bluetooth set is not allowed.  
Headset/earphone will NOT be provided at the exam center.

Note:


- Ensure that your headset/earphones work well and the cable is long enough. The CPU will be kept on the floor in the exam room. So, ensure that the cord is sufficiently long enough to connect to the headphone jack in the CPU.
- If the audio does not work on your system on the exam day, alert the TCS invigilator/supervisor on the same. If it is an issue with the system, they will help with solving the issue.
- If you are unable to listen to the audio clip and hence cannot answer the questions, we will be unable to assist you or make any amends, post-exams, on this.

Dear Candidate,

The qualifier exam, originally scheduled for April 25, 2021, could not be conducted because of the current situation in the country caused by
the pandemic. At this point, it is unclear when a nationwide exam can be organized safely. Keeping the safety of everyone and the interests of
candidates in mind, we offer you two options.

1. OPTION 1 [Defer to September term]: You can wait and appear for the qualifier exam, assuming that the situation improves and we can
organize the exam in the June/July/August timeframe. Upon successfully clearing the qualifier, you will register for courses in the term that
begins in Sep 2021. We will provide advance notice of 2 weeks or so when announcing the exam.

2. OPTION 2 [Tentatively continue in May term]: You can tentatively continue to study courses of your interest from Week 5 onwards in the
May-July 2021 term. Assuming that the situation improves and exams are possible in June/July/August timeframe, you will attempt the qualifier
and your other course exams when conducted. If you successfully clear the qualifier exam, you will gain admission to the program from May
term, and you will formally register for courses.


      a) No additional fee will be charged for tentatively continuing
in the May term.
      b) Tentative continuation in the May term is not to be construed as
admission to the programme.
      c) If you do not clear the qualifier exam or if the exam cannot
be conducted, you will not get any credit or consideration for your
work in courses in the May-July term.

We will send out a more detailed form in the next few days. Please
fill the form and select an option that is suitable for you.

Dear Learner,


Hope you have enjoyed your 4 weeks of study of the qualifier content in March 2021. Unfortunately, the qualifier exam could not be conducted
on April 25, 2021. We had sent a brief email earlier and conducted a live session to present possible options available to you.

This email describes the options in more detail and asks you to select one of the two options.

You now have 2 options:
1. OPTION 1: Defer course registration to Sep 2021 or later
Attempt the qualifier whenever we schedule it as the situation permits - June/July/Aug 2021.
Defer course registration to Sep 2021 term or later, provided you pass the qualifier.

2. OPTION 2: Continue studying with 1/2/3/4 courses in May 2021 term - registering and crediting will depend on your passing the qualifier exam
You can continue studying courses in the May 2021 term. 

Week 5 contents will be made available on 28 May 2021 and subsequent weeks' content will continue every week thereafter. 

Choose the courses you wish to continue studying and complete in anticipation of the possibility that you pass the qualifier when it gets conducted. These can be 1/2/3/4 courses of Sem 1.

Watch videos and submit assignments every week, taking the help of forums and the live sessions in case of doubts.

You can attempt the qualifier whenever IITM can organize it, based on the covid situation.


Once the results are released and if you have passed the qualifier:
          You can register for courses you wish to complete this term.        
           You will be paying the course fees only at this point in time. Until this, no payment needs to be made to study from the courses.
            The quizzes for the courses you follow in this term and the policy for final grades will be announced based on how and when the qualifier exam is conducted.
            Submitting weekly graded assignments is important as eligibility to write the final exams depends on this.

So read the above email carefully, think about the 2 choices available d fill this form to inform us of your decision.

This is wrt the 4 courses you are all enrolled to and have selected option1  or option 2.

 

1. If you have selected option 1 (attempting the qualifier exam whenever it is conducted and joining the program in Sep 2021) - you can see the content if interested as we are making it available for all. NO NEED TO SUBMIT ASSIGNMENTS FROM WEEK 5 ONWARDS.

 

2. If you have selected option 1 previously and would like to change it now to option 2 - and proceed to continue learning:

We anyway are sharing the content with you also - you can start submitting assignments for whichever courses you wish to follow. No problem in this. 

After you write the qualifier, if you wish to register for courses when we open it, you can go ahead.

 

3. If you have selected option 2 previously - of following some courses and wish to continue with this - PLEASE DO SUBMIT ASSIGNMENTS FOR COURSES YOU WISH TO FOLLOW.

Content for week 5 is uploaded and every Friday subsequent weeks' contents will be released.

 

4. If you have selected option 2 previously - and for some reason, you are unable to follow the courses - dont worry.

Prepare to appear for the qualifier whenever it is conducted and you can register to courses in Sep 2021.

 

Content for qualifier exam: content in weeks 1-4 of ALL 4 courses - Maths 1, Statistics 1, Computational Thinking and English-1.

Dear student,

We have now tentatively scheduled April 2021 qualifier for July 11, 2021, which will be conducted by our exam partner in centres across the country. You have to attend the exams in person at these centres.

We would like to get your city preference for the same so that we can start planning the logistics and booking of exam centres.

Please note: you have an option to change your city choice by logging in to your student dashboard before June 17, 2021 23:59 IST.

If we do not receive a response before the due date, we will take the city choices filled during registration as your final choice.

Dear student

This is to inform you that the qualifier exam which was originally scheduled for April 25 2021 is now finalised to be held on July 11 2021, Sunday.

Time of exam: 2pm to 6pm

Exams will be conducted in cities across the country - which you have to appear in person in centres.

We will inform you of the exact city/centre by July 1 2021.

The hall ticket will be released by July 5 2021.

So kindly prepare to attend the exams on the given date.

Once qualifier results are published:

For those who qualify and are continuing to study and submitting assignments in May 2021 term, we will open the course registration form between 17-20 July. So kindly be prepared to pay the course fees and register to subjects in May 2021 term.

Qualifier 1 will be counted as Quiz 1 for those who are continuing with subject registration in May 2021 term.

It is likely that we will conduct one more quiz in the last week of July which will count towards the final course score and course grade - we will confirm this after the conduct of the qualifier exam.

Those students not continuing to follow subjects in the May 2021 term:

If you qualify, you can register for courses of the Sep 2021 term. This form will be opened  between Aug 22,2021 to Aug 29,2021.

We are excited to announce that the Application Form for the Foundational level is open now.

If you are following the course till date and submitted assignments, please register now else you can register in September 2021 Batch for Foundational level

Please note:

There will be no more quizzes conducted for the courses you register to.

Final course grade will depend on qualifier score and AUG 8 term exam score.

Check your eligibility to write your final exam. The average of the best 6/9 weeks of weekly graded assignment score must be >= 40/100, else even if you register you won't be eligible to write the final exam.
