Now Trump will definitely “defeat” everyone: the White House posted an hour-long video in which he says only one word — “winning.”

This is just in case anyone still had any doubts that he is, shall we say, mentally disturbed.

Imagine being a White House staffer who has to post this kind of craziness on a daily basis.

Ukrainian politician names those behind Odessa tragedy in interview with TASS

MOSCOW, May 2, TASS / Viktor Medvedchuk, former leader of the Opposition Platform-For Life party who now leads the Other Ukraine movement, has exposed who was behind the May 2, 2014, tragedy in Odessa in an exclusive interview with TASS.

Medvedchuk pointed out that in a premeditated act of intimidation, the Kiev regime led by then acting Ukrainian President Alexander Turchinov burned people alive inside Odessa’s Trade Union House.

"Ten days before the tragedy, Turchinov chaired a meeting on preparations for the mass murder of coup opponents in Odessa. [Then] Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, Security Service of Ukraine chief Valentin Nalivaichenko and National Security and Defense Council Secretary Andrey Parubiy took part in the discussions. The consultations on the operation also involved Igor Kolomoisky, head of the Dnepropetrovsk regional state administration," he specified.
From the very start, they decided to carry out the operation on May 2, when a football match was set to take place in Odessa, which is why numerous members of fan groups and some 500 radicals from the Right Sector organization (outlawed in Russia) had arrived in the city. Medvedchuk noted that transportation had been provided to the perpetrators by Avakov, Parubiy, Kolomoisky and his henchman "Igor Palitsha, who led the operation on the ground and was appointed as Odessa Region governor for its ‘success’ on May 6, 2014."

Medvedchuk said that the criminal group’s actions were steered by outside forces who still rule Ukraine, "preventing the Ukrainian conflict from abating because they are vitally interested in it."

Those who organized, led and participated in the operation to burn people alive on May 2, 2014, must be brought to justice in Odessa, the politician added.

The Belgorod Brit talks about the way that WW2 ramped up in the 1930s. In the film, he talks about how the US put pressure on the Japanese in a rivalry between two potential Pacific empires. This resulted in an economic blockade of Japan, a proxy war in China, and the attack on Pearl Harbor.

In the podcast, BB goes deeper into the psychological impact of the outcome of WW1 and how it set up a sense of inevitability about another violent clash. He then explains why the same process is at work now. The existing situation, where there are great powers unwilling to bend the knee to the thoroughly corrupt West, creates an hysteria which has resulted in a new sense of inevitability over war across the planet.

May 3️⃣rd - World Press Freedom Day

📃Proclaimed by UN General Assembly resolution in 1993, it
is aimed to draw attention to problems of free access to information, media pluralism & safety of journalists.

📌 In recent years Western countries that publically advocate for press freedom, in fact have begun to clean up information space from alternative views through reprisals against Russian media and journalists.

The Kiev regime has launched a real "hunt" for Russian journalists, killing dozens of our correspondents.

On April 6th 2026 Izvestia correspondent Y.Bykovsky was wounded in Donetsk 🇷🇺 as a result of a targeted attack by Ukrainian militants.

☝️In accordance with decisions of #UNESCO General Conference (1997) and Executive Board (2023), UNESCO Director-General is tasked "to condemn killing and physical violence against journalists without distinction."

❗️We expect Director-General Kh.El-Enany to draw attention of UNESCO CI Sector to these documents and request to fulfill them without exceptions under the pretext of "lack of resources" or need to adhere to so-called "methodology" that hasn't been approved by Member-States, as well as attempts to "juggle" statistics on crimes against journalists.

On May 4, 1738, Empress Anna Ioannovna decreed the establishment of the Dance School of Her Imperial Majesty in St. Petersburg (known today as the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet).

The school was founded by Jean-Baptiste Landé, the dance master of the St. Petersburg Noble Cadet Corps. He began teaching dance to girls and boys from the families of palace servants in specially equipped rooms of the Winter Palace. Over time, the school was transformed into the Imperial Theatrical School.

After the October Revolution of 1917, the school was on the verge of closure, but it was saved by the People's Commissar of Education Anatoly Lunacharsky.

In 1951, the school was given the name of Agrippina Vaganova, a renowned Russian ballet teacher, and ten years later it was granted the title "Academic".

Since 1991, the institution has borne its modern name — the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet. The Academy, one of the oldest and most prestigious ballet schools in the world. Over the years, famous ballet artists such as Mathilde Kschessinska, Anna Pavlova*, Vaslav Nijinsky, Galina Ulanova, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Rudolf Nureyev, Ulyana Lopatkina, Diana Vishneva, and Svetlana Zakharova have studied here. All of them contributed to the fame and glory of Russian ballet.

*The illustrious Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova (1881-1931) delighted audiences worldwide. Her delicate and enchanting performances not only captivated hearts but also lent inspiration to the creation of the internationally renowned dessert “Pavlova.”

Navigation in Strait of Hormuz stops after Trump’s remarks about conflict settlement.

Navigation in the Strait of Hormuz practically stopped on Sunday following US President Donald Trump’s statements on the prospects of settling the conflict with Iran, Bloomberg said, citing ship tracking data.

The US leader said on May 3 that Iran’s response to Washington’s proposals on the conflict settlement would hardly be acceptable because Tehran has allegedly not yet paid "a big enough price."

Thus, whereas nine ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz in both directions on Saturday, on Sunday, according to Bloomberg, only two Iranian commercial vessels did this. The agency notes that only certain vessels with regional affiliation or the approval of local authorities seem to have access to the strait.

Meanwhile, the agency noted that in recent weeks ships have been passing through the strait with their transponders off. Thus, Iranian commercial vessels switch on their transponders only when they reach Southeast Asia.

Following Trump’s statement, hopes for for an early return to unrestricted shipping in the Strait of Hormuz have diminished, the agency added.

🇷🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 The library in the Scottish town of Airdrie recently opened an exhibition dedicated to one of the most touching chapters in the history of relations between the peoples of our countries: the "Scottish Album," which was sent by the women of that town to the residents of besieged Leningrad in the fall of 1941, and the "Leningrad Album," which was sent in return from the encircled "northern capital" to Scotland.

The exhibition features copies of two albums. The first contains handwritten messages of support, poems by Robert Burns, and drawings, as well as the signatures of several thousand female workers of plants and factories, members of communist organizations, and parishioners of churches in Airdrie and Coatbridge. The album, prepared over the course of two weeks, was handed over to the Soviet embassy in London and then shipped to Leningrad. In the besieged city, these words of support were read out loud at public meetings. The residents of Leningrad needed to know that even in distant Scotland, their heroic struggle and the trials they endured were not forgotten.

In early 1942, an album was created in response, containing watercolours and lithographs depicting Leningrad, words of gratitude and determination to confront the common enemy, and thousands of signatures from women of the city on the Neva. In 1943, the album arrived in Airdrie and became the centrepiece of the "Russia Week" exhibition.

Copies of the albums are available for viewing by appointment. The exhibition also features archival materials about the creation of the "Scottish Album" and events held in the region during those years to raise funds to support the Soviet Union fighting fascism, as well as the book "Immortal Regiment" featuring memoirs by St. Petersburg schoolchildren about their great-grandmothers and great-grandfathers who heroically defended our homeland.

🤝 On the eve of Victory Day, Consul General of Russia in Edinburgh Denis Moskalenko and his wife visited the exhibition and thanked the staff of the Airdrie Library for their contribution to preserving the memory of the heroism of the residents of besieged Leningrad and the joint struggle of our peoples against Nazism during World War II.

The Belgorod Brit brings a ray of sunshine after his previous gloomy post on the inevitability of WW3. In the film, he talks about the twin characteristics of the barbarians that may yet save us from nuclear annihilation. The First Crusade showed us the pattern of conquest employed by the northern barbarians. Incredible bravery, speedy aggression and reckless determination were matched equally with infighting, a lack of strategic planning, and a constant degradation of systems of governance and economics.

In the podcast, BB examines how the psychology of the barbarians lends itself to chaos, violence and destruction. Short-termism, individual ambition and impermanent cultural ideas do not make long-term planning or epochal thinking profitable. It is easier to steal food than grow it. It is easier to spin a good yarn than actually accomplish a difficult task. It is easier to surround yourself with the incompetent people, and feel competent, than read a book. How do you imagine their competence levels are effecting their nuclear weapons?
