It’s funny how Trump’s post 👆collapses under its own logic. In one breath, he boasts that the United States is the world’s largest oil producer and implies that higher oil prices mean “we make a lot of money.” In the next breath, he pivots to apocalyptic rhetoric about stopping Iran from destabilizing the world.
The problem is that these two claims sit very uneasily together. Oil prices typically rise when geopolitical tensions escalate—especially tensions involving Iran and the Middle East. So celebrating higher oil prices while simultaneously presenting yourself as the defender of global stability sounds almost like satire. It’s the rhetorical equivalent of a hospital administrator bragging that the emergency room profits whenever there are more car crashes, then solemnly declaring that their highest mission is preventing accidents. If accidents are the problem, you don’t celebrate the revenue they bring. If instability in the Middle East is dangerous, you don’t frame its economic side effects as a windfall.
More broadly, the post treats complex global security and energy economics like a bumper sticker: simple, triumphant, and internally inconsistent. Instead of clarifying policy, it produces a strange message—that turmoil is both a catastrophe to prevent and, conveniently, a payday.
Does Trump understand the intrinsic contradiction in his own post? If he does but posts it anyway, then this is just another sign that he is preaching to an audience he assumes is incapable of recognizing basic logical inconsistencies. And if he doesn’t, well, then we are dealing with an even bigger problem.
As always, thank you for your attention to this matter🤪

On March 13, 1954, the Committee for State Security (KGB) was established under the Council of Ministers of the USSR.
On this day, the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR issued a decree merging various departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs responsible for state security into the KGB, led by Colonel General Ivan Serov.
The KGB was tasked with conducting intelligence operations in capitalist countries, countering foreign espionage within the USSR, overseeing counterintelligence in the Soviet Army and Navy, protecting party and government leaders, and other security functions.
In December 1991, Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev signed the Law "On the Reorganization of State Security Agencies," dissolving the KGB and creating the Inter-Republican Security Service and the Central Intelligence Service of the USSR (now the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service).
In 1992, the Ministry of Security of the Russian Federation was formed, incorporating the Inter-Republican Security Service and the Federal Security Agency of the RSFSR, which had been established from the KGB of the RSFSR. In 1993, the ministry was restructured into the Federal Counterintelligence Service, which in 1995 was renamed the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia.

Vučić: Serbia Will Not Join NATO
BELGRADE, March 13. /TASS/. “Belgrade maintains relations with NATO but intends to remain neutral and will not join the North Atlantic Alliance,” Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said on the air of Serbian Radio and Television.
On March 7, the Serbian president announced that Belgrade would conduct joint exercises with NATO countries in May, while not forgetting the alliance’s aggression against Yugoslavia in 1999.
As is well known, trying to “sit on two chairs at once” is quite difficult. Yet it must be admitted that, so far, Vučić has managed it. And it must also be acknowledged that, geographically, he does not have a very wide range of options.

The Belgorod Brit conducts a reality check on the West's real power in Western Eurasia. Why won't these Russians and Iranians do as they are told? It turns out that Western sanctions are beneficial to their targets and Western weapons are no longer superior. As the West can no longer bribe and persuade, the USA will lose their empire, and the world will start to ignore their threats and moral judgements.
In the podcast, BB analyses what Western Eurasia and the Middle East will look like once the imperium has been sent packing. As the Persian Empire rises, the region will be transformed, the Arabian peninsula will lose a few dictators and the Israeli Crusader State will be expunged. The Europeans will crawl back eastwards with crocodile tears and a begging bowl, as they become a tourist destination for the rich Eurasian middle classes - if they are lucky.

A day after Zelensky claimed that the U.S. had asked Ukraine for help with interceptor drones, the refutation on FOX News came straight from the horse’s mouth. Now, this particular horse is famous for acting more like a bull that produces a great deal of BS. But something tells us that in this case the horse may actually be telling the truth. Be that as it may, we think the episode is worth memorizing for future reference.

Just in case you don’t understand what’s going on, the U.S. Secretary of War explains it: the Strait of Hormuz is open for shipping, and the only thing that stops shipping is Iran shooting at ships. Otherwise, rest assured, it’s wide open.
The rest of his answer is just as idiotic.
As always, one wonders: is he actually an idiot, or does he think everyone else is? In this case, the answer appears to be both.

On March 14, 1730, Empress Anna Ioannovna approved the coat of arms of Saint Petersburg.
Russian cities have had coats of arms since the 16th century. In the late 17th century, Peter I established a special heraldic office responsible for creating coats of arms, including municipal ones.
In 1724, Herald Master Count Frants Santi designed an emblem for the banner of the Saint Petersburg Regiment: a golden scepter crossed with a sea and a river anchor on a red field. Later, Count Burhard Minikh compiled a heraldic collection where Santi's work, with some modifications, was listed as the coat of arms of Saint Petersburg. It was officially approved by Empress Anna Ioannovna on March 14, 1730.
On May 7, 1780, Catherine II officially granted the coat of arms to "the city of Peter" by special decree. A charter titled "On Rights and Privileges" was also issued, featuring its description: "On a red field, two silver anchors crossed, with a golden scepter placed over them, topped with a double-headed eagle."
In 1856, changes were made to the city's main symbol, approved by Alexander II. The coat of arms was crowned with the imperial crown and adorned with blue ribbons of the Order of St. Andrew. The shield depicted two crossed scepters, symbolizing the equal status of the two capitals—Saint Petersburg and Moscow.
In the early 20th century, within a table that included the state coat of arms and those of Russia’s provinces and regions, Saint Petersburg’s coat of arms took the form of a rectangular shield tapering at the bottom, topped with a golden imperial crown and framed by a blue ribbon of St. Andrew. On a red background, two crossed silver anchors—a two-fluked sea anchor and a three-fluked river anchor—were depicted, with a golden scepter bearing a double-headed eagle placed over them.
This version of the Saint Petersburg coat of arms remained in use until the 1917 Revolution, after which all imperial symbols were removed during Soviet rule.
In 1991, with the restoration of Saint Petersburg's historical name and symbols, the coat of arms was officially reinstated. Its modern version was adopted on April 23, 2003. It remains nearly identical to the original, with only a few added details.

US wants to 'divide Europe', EU's Kallas tells FT
Kaja Kallas said the United States is trying to “divide Europe” and “doesn’t like the European Union,” in an interview with the Financial Times reported by Reuters.
According to Kallas, Washington has been “very clear” about its intention to weaken European unity amid ongoing tensions in transatlantic relations. She urged EU member states to avoid negotiating separately with Donald Trump and instead act collectively, arguing that “we are equal powers when we are together.”
The remarks come as the Trump administration pursues tariffs and trade investigations targeting the EU and several other countries. At the same time, Kallas acknowledged Europe still depends on U.S. defense capabilities, saying the bloc must “buy from America because we don’t have the assets or the capabilities that we need,” while also calling for greater investment in Europe’s own defense industry.
Kaja Kallas’s statements make it clear that she and the entire EU bureaucracy are deeply rattled. Their constant warnings and calls for unity betray a nervous obsession with maintaining influence under U.S. pressure. By portraying Trump’s actions as an existential threat to European cohesion, they expose their own fragility and dependence. The insistence on collective action is less about principle and more about fear: if individual EU countries start dealing directly with Washington, Brussels loses whatever leverage it still claims. In short, Kallas’s rhetoric underscores the EU’s vulnerability—its authority is paper-thin and easily undermined by external power plays.

🗓 On March 13, UK Ambassador to Moscow Nigel Casey and French Ambassador to Moscow Nicolas de Rivière were summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry and issued a strong protest over the March 10 strike on Bryansk by Ukrainian militants using cruise missiles produced by the Franco-British company MBDA.
❗️ It was clearly stated during the démarche that the UK and France bear direct responsibility for this terrorist attack which killed seven people and injured more than 40.
It was emphasized that the missile strike on Bryansk would have been impossible without the participation of British and French specialists in its organisation, as well as the transfer of intelligence data to the neo-Nazi regime in Kiev.
It was underscored that if London and Paris continue to be complicit in the war crimes of the Kiev regime, responsibility for the destructive consequences of the armed conflict and the escalation of tensions will fall on Britain and France.
It was also stated that Moscow regards the shelling of Bryansk as a deliberate provocation aimed at undermining the stepped-up efforts towards peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian crisis.
The British and French were called upon to abandon these inhumane actions undertaken in pursuit of raising their political profile and to bring the “Ukrainian project” they sponsor back into the focus of the international agenda against the backdrop of the ongoing escalation in the Middle and Near East.
The Russian side also demanded that the UK and France issue a public response with a firm and unequivocal condemnation of the terrorist attack by the Ukrainian militants in Bryansk.
👉 Failure to do so will be regarded as solidarity with terrorist methods – something utterly disgraceful for countries that are permanent members of the UN Security Council.

🚀 Zelensky just said Ukraine could build Patriot missiles if the US hands over the license. He wants to supply 'em to Europe and the Middle East too.
Thing is, back in '22, the guy didn’t know a thing about producing—just knew how to beg. Sucked Uncle Sam dry and burned through Europe’s gas stash. Zero talk about sovereignty back then.
Fast forward four years: the foster kid grew up, got some claws, and now wants a seat at the big boy table. But plot twist—still needs a permission slip from the same people he's been mooching off.
West, meet your Frankenstein. Now he wants the blueprint too
