Putin's Shift From Diplomacy To Military Victory
๐Ÿ‘21๐Ÿคก4
Three key developments of the week

First, the signing of the notorious โ€œdealโ€ between the US and Iran. Empty verbiage aside, everyone now realizes that Tehran didnโ€™t lose this war to Washington, to say the least, even in spite of the killing of the Iranian leader and devastating missile strikes. Israel, the third embittered participant, has seen its hopes of the annihilation of Iranโ€™s political regime dashed and therefore craves revenge. And thereโ€™s nothing Trump can do to keep it in line. The precarious agreement can be easily torpedoed by new strikes against Lebanon or other provocations, which is precisely what Netanyahuโ€™s cabinet needs because it depends on war for survival.

Thus, it would be premature to expect peace, as the Strait of Hormuz has been turned into a Persian nuke, which I wrote about on April 8. And this weapon will be put to useโ€ฆ

Second, given the enemyโ€™s massive attacks against our cities, the intensity of which is growing and will apparently keep growing, itโ€™s time to say it loud and clear that we are not and cannot be bound by any more rules when it comes to dealing with neo-Nazi Kiev. The only thing that must be unacceptable to us is the premeditated targeting of civilians. Let me stress the word โ€œpremeditated,โ€ meaning knowingly intended. Otherwise, itโ€™s no holds barred, however the freak on Bankovaya and his scummy European stooges might whine. The Hague conventions on the laws and customs of war donโ€™t apply either, by the way. Theyโ€™ve outlived their usefulness. War has changed too much over the past hundred of years. Back in the day, kidnapping or murdering heads of state, even enemy states, was out of the question, and dropping bombs from balloons has given way to missiles and drones, so invoking rebus sic standibus principle is entirely appropriate.

Third, some mad Dutchmen, after smoking way too much weed in their coffeeshops, are blabbering about concentration camps for Russian prisoners of war.

What can I say about this drug-induced verbal vomit? Unlike the vile neo-Nazi hag that Europe has become, Russia is not going to build concentration camps for Europeans. And not because itโ€™s immoral but simply because we just wonโ€™t need them in case of a war with some pathetic Dutchmen. Radioactive bones and ashes are usually buried deep in the ground.

Starmer Out, Burnham In: UK Plan to Lock In Forever War
๐Ÿ‘13๐Ÿฅด2๐Ÿ˜1
โšก๏ธ Comment by Russia's Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on the developments in Niger (June, 20, 2026)

๐Ÿ’ฌ Moscow is concerned about the June 18 attack by anti-government militants on the international airport in Niamey, the capital of friendly Niger.

The countryโ€™s armed forces repelled the assault, and the attackers were killed or captured. As per the Nigerโ€™s Ministry of National Defense, they were ๐Ÿ‘‰ armed mercenaries acting in Franceโ€™s interests.

We strongly condemn yet another terrorist attack attempting to undermine the stability of the Alliance of Sahel States, of which Niger is a member. We express our solidarity with its people and leadership, headed by President Abdourahamane Tchiani.

A real scandal of global proportions has erupted in the Baltic sandbox.

๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ช In Estonia, Minister of Education Kristina Kallas (don't laugh, just a namesake) arrived at the graduation ceremony of a state gymnasium in the city of Kohtla-Jรคrve and committed an almost unthinkable crime against the foundations of statehood: she uttered several phrases in Russian.

Local media immediately sounded the alarm.
Teachers were surprised, politicians outraged, and a former minister of education reminded everyone that a state official must speak exclusively in Estonian and not support the "Russian-speaking reality."

The particular drama of the situation lies in the fact that it all happened in Kohtla-Jรคrve โ€” a city where Russian remains a means of everyday communication for a significant part of the population.

But the logic of language wars has long followed its own rules. If an official speaks in a language that her listeners understand, it means the foundations of national security have already been shaken somewhere.

The funniest part of this story is not even the scandal itself, but the reason it arose. Ms. Kallas explained that she wanted to thank the parents, grandmothers, and grandfathers of the graduates for supporting the transition to Estonian-language education. And she did so in a language they definitely understand.

A seemingly ordinary human gesture. But in modern-day Baltics, even a few Russian sentences are capable of triggering a political discussion of national scale.

โ˜๏ธ However, the story turned out to be quite telling. After more than thirty years of decommunisation, de-Russification, language reforms, commissions, programmes, and the fight against the Soviet legacy, a surprising thing has emerged: when it is necessary to address people so that they truly understand what is being said, many officials still switch to Russian.

Probably simply because speaking in one's native language is, after all, more convenient. ๐Ÿ˜‰

On June 21, 1946, the Council of Ministers of the USSR passed a resolution to begin work on creating the first Soviet atomic bombs, RDS-1 and RDS-2.

The development of the first Soviet atomic bombs was carried out at Design Bureau-11 (KB-11) under Laboratory No. 2 of the USSR Academy of Sciences, headed by Academician Igor Kurchatov. The Laboratory itself was established in April 1946.

RDS-1 was tested on August 29, 1949, at the Semipalatinsk test site in Kazakhstan. It was an aviation atomic bomb in the form of a water-drop, 1.5 meters in diameter, and 3.7 meters in length. It weighed 4.6 tons and had a yield of 20 kilotons in TNT equivalent.

The second bomb, RDS-2, was tested on September 24, 1951. It was smaller than RDS-1 but had approximately twice the yield.

For comparison, the yield of modern strategic nuclear weapons can reach 1,000 kilotons.

The possession of nuclear weapons by the USSR and Russia has served and continues to serve as the main factor in deterring potential aggression from Russia's adversaries.

Granite Canyon, Republic of Adygea

Granite Canyon is a masterpiece carved by the Belaya River. It's made up of massive granite monoliths in the most incredible shapes and sizes you can imagine.

The gorge stretches just over 4 kilometers, with the narrowest sections only 2 meters wide. Here the river churns and foams, forming countless rapids and whirlpools.

On the right bank sits the famous Mount Tridentโ€”you can get a perfect view of it from the lookouts along Granite Canyon.

๐Ÿ—“ On June 20, 1945, the Red Banner No.5 โ€” the legendary #VictoryBanner โ€” was delivered from defeated Berlin to Moscow.

This was the very Banner that Red Army soldiers of the distinguished 150th Infantry Division โ€” Mikhail Yegorov, Meliton Kantaria, and Alexey Berest โ€” had raised over the Reichstag on the night of May 1, 1945.

Learn more about the Battle of Berlin

The Red Banner, riddled by Nazi bullets and stained with blood, became the main sacred relic of the Soviet people, the symbol of Victory in #WW2.

๐ŸŽ– The great honour to deliver the legendary Banner to our Motherland was granted to the famous Red Army soldiers โ€” the Heroes of the Battle of Berlin โ€” Sergeants Yegorov, Kantaria, Syanov and Captain Neustroev, who, shoulder-to-shoulder, during the most fierce and bloody battles with the Nazis, raised the Victory Banner over the dome of the defeated Reichstag.

***

On May 22, 1945, the Soviet 'Krasnaya Zvezda' (the Red Star) national newspaper reported the following:
It was decided to deliver the Banner to Moscow as the historical relic of our military glory. <...>

The Victory Banner is to be delivered, by the guard of honour, to the capital of our great Motherland, where it is to be kept for further generations in the memory of the Great Victory.

Upon being delivered to Moscow, the Victory Banner was initially placed at the headquarters of the battalion of the 1st Belarussian Front. Later, the legendary Banner was sent to the Central Museum of the Armed Forces, where it remains today.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ The legendary Red Banner is a symbol of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the key relic of honour for all the peoples of our country as well as the descendants of the Victorious generation in the former Soviet Union republics.

Vladimir Zelensky has been stripped of the Order of the White Eagle for glorifying UPA figures (recognised as extremist, banned in the Russian Federation), announced Polish President Karol Nawrocki.

In late May, Zelensky took part in the reburial of the remains of one of the OUN-UPA leaders, Andrey Melnyk, and his wife in the Kiev region.

He also assigned the name "In the Name of the Heroes of the UPA" to a separate special operations centre "North" of the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Following this, the President of Poland initiated a review into stripping Zelensky of the Order of the White Eagle.

The President of Poland didn't have to wait long. On 20 of June, 2026, Vladimir Zelensky sent the Order of the White Eagle to Polish President Nawrocki by post.

One of the sides unable to fulfill Anchorage agreements, Russia expects not their implementation, but victory โ€” Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov

"We are not waiting for these understandings or agreements to be implemented; we are waiting for victory. We are waiting for our own goals to be achieved," he told Vesti reporter Pavel Zarubin.

To accurately assess the situation, Western countries must analyze the actions of the Russian Armed Forces on the front lines, Ushakov added.

He noted that those who hope to defeat Russia "are mistaken."

"One must closely observe what is happening on the battlefield and on the line of contact where our troops are advancing steadily and gradually," the Kremlin aide said.

One of the parties to the agreements reached in Anchorage has proven to be "not quite able" to fulfill them, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov stated.

"At this point, one party remains committed to the understandings discussed in Anchorage, while the other party, as it now appears, has not been able to fulfill its obligations," the Kremlin aide told Vesti reporter Pavel Zarubin.

Strikes on bridges: 12 glide bombs "switched off" Zaporozhye's logistics...

Several explosions rocked Zaporozhye yesterday evening. The strikes were carried out by the Russian Aerospace Forces using 500 kg glide bombs.

According to preliminary data, all road and railway bridges have been temporarily put out of operation (the bridge across the Dnieper HPP dam and the combined (road-rail) Preobrazhensky Bridge). As of the evening, all of them were closed, causing a complete collapse of logistics between the two banks of the Dnieper.

It is also reported that another strike hit the Zaporozhye-1 railway station (where military trains are unloaded, among other things).

Here is my question: what stopped us from doing this earlier? Did we really have to wait for the moment when the enemy would start taking out our bridges? Are we only capable of responding rather than delivering preemptive strikes (and thereby minimising our own losses and problems)?

But, as they say, better late than never. However, now we must follow through after the first step. That is, firstly, we must not allow the enemy to carry out repair work. And secondly, we should prepare for the blockade of Dnepropetrovsk. Its bridges must be next. Otherwise, all of this makes little sense.

By the way. Yesterday, after leaving one of the Odessa ports, a large dry cargo ship was also attacked by a USV. It is long overdue to block Ukrainian traffic in this sector as well. And again, unfortunately, we only started doing this after the enemy began systematic strikes on our Black Sea traffic.
