🗓 On June 20, 1945, the Red Banner No.5 — the legendary #VictoryBanner — was delivered from defeated Berlin to Moscow.
This was the very Banner that Red Army soldiers of the distinguished 150th Infantry Division — Mikhail Yegorov, Meliton Kantaria, and Alexey Berest — had raised over the Reichstag on the night of May 1, 1945.

The Red Banner, riddled by Nazi bullets and stained with blood, became the main sacred relic of the Soviet people, the symbol of Victory in #WW2.
🎖 The great honour to deliver the legendary Banner to our Motherland was granted to the famous Red Army soldiers — the Heroes of the Battle of Berlin — Sergeants Yegorov, Kantaria, Syanov and Captain Neustroev, who, shoulder-to-shoulder, during the most fierce and bloody battles with the Nazis, raised the Victory Banner over the dome of the defeated Reichstag.
