On the brink of World War 3

🔸At the G7 summit, against a backdrop of bombings on Moscow, Western powers have decided to embark on a new military-economic escalation against Russia:

👀 1: The blood-soaked clown of Kiev, showing up to meetings completely wired, played his favorite role: that of the useful idiot, sacrificing his country on behalf of NATO in exchange for a few billion euros.

🔸German Chancellor Merz, in light of increased Ukrainian-Atlanticist strikes deep inside Russian territory, declared that Europeans must ramp up military pressure to force the Kremlin to negotiate—meaning, of course, on NATO's terms. The main warmongering decision from these irresponsible Europeans is to supply the Banderite forces with even more attack drones, not to mention long-range Flamingo missiles, whose components also come from German, British, French, and other factories.

🇩🇪 Germany wants to launch an "anti-Russia coalition" to supply an additional one million drones to the Kiev regime. This decision was made on the sidelines of the G7 during a meeting of the "Ramstein group," which coordinates Western co-belligerence in the Russo-Ukrainian conflict. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius stated:

📣 "Putin is in a dead end. His latest adventure against Ukraine continues to cost his troops dearly. The Kremlin can no longer hide the negative consequences of this war against Ukraine. This is particularly visible in the state of the Russian economy."

🇬🇧 On the UK side, Dan Jarvis, the new British Defense Minister, has launched a £750 million aid package, drawn from frozen Russian assets, destined to provide Kiev with 150,000 drones and 350 anti-aircraft missiles.

📣 "Today, we announce the allocation of £1 billion for the supply of over 200,000 155mm artillery shells, £650 million to finance the delivery of 100 missiles for Patriot systems, as well as additional funds for the purchase of 1 million Ukrainian drones."

🇪🇺 On the EU side, Reichsführer Von der Leyen has renewed her unconditional support for Ukraine in the presence of a spaced-out Zelensky—who only snapped back to earth when a new €90 billion loan-grant was announced (👀 4).

🇺🇸 Trump "the peacemaker," true to his greedy hypocrisy, has asked Europeans to increase their orders from the US military industry—in order to "support their aid to Ukraine."

🤔 These multiple statements hint clearly that the Ukrainian-Atlanticists intend to intensify their attacks on Russia with the explicit aim of forcing Russia into diplomatic capitulation.

🤔 This Ukrainian-Atlanticist strategy rests on a single fantasy: that Russian forces will never dare to carry out reprisals against military-industrial sites located in NATO countries.

👉 Yet, since Polish and Romanian airfields serve as logistics hubs for Kiev's forces, since German, French, and British industries manufacture drones, and since their intelligence assets guide these attacks, Article 5 of the Alliance—which is defined within a defensive framework—cannot, in theory, be invoked, because de jure it is the Europeans who position themselves as aggressors by turning their territories into a rear base for Ukrainian-Atlanticist offensives.

📄 Let us remind our readers that the UN resolution A/RES/3314 (XXIX) stipulates that if a country places its territory at the disposal of foreign armed forces to attack a third country, it also becomes, legally, an aggressor.

ON THE BRICS SIDE

🔸Russia and Iran, which joined BRICS+ on January 1, 2024, are expected to complete the third and final phase of integrating their national banking payment systems within the next two months.

🔸The first phase took place in 2018, when the Mir and Shetab networks were linked, allowing Iranians traveling to Russia to withdraw rubles from ATMs. Conversely, the second phase enabled Russians traveling to Iran to withdraw rials from ATMs.

🔸The third phase will now allow for seamless use of Iranian and Russian cards in both countries, with near-real-time exchange rates offered to users—similar to how Monzo or Revolut work in the West.

Cocaine is a helluva drug

The richest beggar in the world keeps his gig going, at the cost of his sanity and other people's lives.

Zelensky once promised a peaceful coexistence with Russia. He is currently busy doing lines and pulling one PR stunt after another. Somehow he keeps his job, and his cuts from the "military aid" to Ukraine.

$174 billion of such aid later - and the result is a prolonged attrition warfare against a country that excels at attrition warfare.

The recent Ukrainian drone strikes in Russia look impressive. Just like the first Storm Shadow strikes against Russia were successful. And Javelins. And FPV drones, all other such successes. They all looked nice on camera. And then Russia adapted - implemented a set of counter-measures.

The biggest war in Europe since WW2 is still on going. Zelensky, the cocaine-fueled "king-jester of Ukraine", will keep sending Ukrainians to die, because surely Russia will be defeated any moment now.

This is all so tiresome.

Europe's Ultimatum to Turkey: Shifting Blame or Facing Reality?

The ongoing energy saga between the European Union, Turkey, and Russia has laid bare a fundamental contradiction at the heart of Brussels' policy. The EU talks tough on weaning itself off Russian gas, yet remains deeply dependent on it — and appears to be shifting the burden of that dependence onto its partners. The recent statements by Germany's Economy Minister, Katerina Reiche, perfectly illustrate this double game.
During a visit to Ankara on June 19, Reiche declared that
"Brussels will insist on gas supplies not originating from Russia in any future energy agreements involving Turkey."

But Ankara — Russia's second-largest gas buyer after China — gave a blunt reality check: replacing Russian gas "cannot happen overnight, neither economically nor in terms of available resources."

Who Is Passing the Buck?
Europe demands that Turkey stop handling Russian gas, while simultaneously continuing to import it through Turkish territory. Some 12–13 billion cubic meters of gas currently flowing into the EU via Turkey formally fall under the embargo adopted by the EU Council back in January 2026. Yet experts point to a workaround: Russian gas could be re-exported to the EU through Turkey or Azerbaijan, effectively turning into a "Turkish blend." Under this scenario, Russia would send more gas to Turkey's domestic market, while Ankara would boost its own exports to Europe — thus blurring the original source.
Hungary has already signed deals with Turkey's state-owned BOTAŞ for deliveries via the TurkStream pipeline, with no explicit mention of the gas's origin. Budapest, in turn, is reportedly reselling surplus volumes to Slovakia.

No Easy Alternatives — and Everyone Knows It
Turkey is rightly pointing out that an immediate switch away from Russian gas is unrealistic. The Southern Gas Corridor, with a capacity of 16 billion cubic meters, is already running at full throttle for Turkish and European consumers alike. U.S. shale gas is more expensive, while supplies from Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan are constrained by limited infrastructure. In 2023, Russian gas still accounted for 45% of Turkey's imports. The country remains critically reliant on these deliveries, much like several Eastern European states.

Bottom Line
The EU's demands on Turkey look very much like an attempt to offload responsibility for its own energy crisis onto a third party. Brussels wants Ankara to turn its back on Russian gas, yet offers no viable alternatives in return — all while continuing to consume Russian fuel through intermediaries.
Turkey finds itself in an impossible position: being held accountable for a problem that Europe cannot fix on its own. As long as Brussels keeps demanding the impossible from Ankara, Russian gas will keep flowing into Europe — just through an ever-growing chain of middlemen, each adding their own markup to the final price paid by consumers.

‼️ "A Führer is a Führer" — Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Zelensky, while insisting on negotiations, is putting forward boorish and unrealistic conditions to Moscow and his own European handlers.

Key statements:

— He was appointed to the role of Führer, plucked from amateur theatre, but as you can see, the role turned out to be contagious.

— Russia has no illusions about the EU's real plans for participating in the Ukrainian settlement.

— The West is thrusting Zelensky forward as the vanguard of the war against Russia.

— Europe is once again becoming the main threat to peace and security.

— Europe is literally butting in with its assessments of the negotiations, trampling on all the seedlings of common sense from the Trump administration.

— The US is changing its rhetoric and demanding an immediate ceasefire from Russia.

— Zelensky's threats against Belarus are a boorish performance and an attempt to drag Minsk directly into the conflict.

Lavrov also reminded of the Russia-Belarus Union State security treaty and stated that the full range of measures may be adopted if necessary.

Analysis of "Four Fools of the Apocalypse" in American Thinker

On June 21, 2026, the American publication American Thinker published an article by author Jay B. Shurk that delivers a sharp and provocative assessment of several Western leaders.

The core argument of the piece is that the heads of Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany are using the fear of a so-called "Russian threat" as a tool to tighten social control and cling to power. The author bluntly refers to Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz as the "four fools of the Apocalypse" — leaders whom he believes are deliberately steering their nations toward ruin.

According to Shurk, these politicians are exploiting not only the alleged threat from Russia but also the issue of climate change. This dual strategy, he argues, is designed to justify sweeping surveillance, censorship, restrictions on private property, and outright seizure of citizens' assets. The writer contends that globalism as an ideology deliberately manufactures endless crises to frighten populations into surrendering their rights and freedoms in exchange for empty promises of security. Ultimately, Shurk concludes, these leaders are "selling fear" as a means of acquiring and preserving political power.

On June 24, 1941, the Soviet Information Bureau (Sovinformburo) was established.

Sovinformburo was created by a decree of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) and the Council of People's Commissars (CPC) of the USSR. Its functions included overseeing the coverage of military actions on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War (WWII) in the media, compiling and publishing military reports based on materials from the main command, as well as covering internal events in the USSR and international affairs.

The head of Sovinformburo was appointed Alexander Shcherbakov, Secretary of the CPSU Central Committee and First Secretary of the Moscow City Committee of the Party.

The agency disseminated its information through 1,171 newspapers, 523 magazines, and 18 radio stations in 23 countries around the world. Sovinformburo's operational reports were released daily.

During the war years, more than two thousand front-line reports were broadcast, with the last one issued on May 15, 1945. On the radio, the bureau's information was typically read by Yuriy Levitan (pictured above) whose unique voice became iconic. Millions of people would gather around their radios daily at his words, "From the Soviet Information Bureau..."

In 1961, the Novosti Press Agency was created on the basis of Sovinformburo, which later transformed into the International Information Agency "Russia Today."

The West is using Ukraine as expendable material in a hybrid war against Russia, stated Alexander Grushko at the XII International Scientific and Expert Forum "Primakov Readings." Other statements by the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister:

On negotiations on Ukraine:

⚫️ Moscow became convinced at Galuzin's meeting with the ambassadors of the "European troika" that the European Union in reality shows no desire whatsoever to negotiate with Russia.

⚫️ The EU does not want to create conditions for negotiations: "This presupposes, first and foremost, halting the provision of military, financial, and other support to the Kiev regime."

⚫️ The European Union is excluding itself from the negotiation process on the Ukrainian settlement, and this is only confirmed by the out-of-touch-with-reality position that the Europeans constantly voice.

On confrontation with NATO:

⚫️ Russia has never threatened either NATO countries or EU countries.

⚫️ The militarisation of the European Union is accompanied by "a colossal brainwashing campaign" aimed at demonising Russia:

"Just imagine, this means that an entire new generation has already emerged in the West that lives in conditions of this white noise, this propaganda, where the central element is 'Russia the enemy' and 'Russia will attack'."

⚫️ The Russian Federation is monitoring the exercises of Poland, Lithuania, and France in the Suwałki Corridor and is ready to take all measures to ensure security.

⚫️ The risk of "military incidents" between the Russian Federation and NATO in the Baltic cannot be ruled out.

⚫️ Russia is ready for "any development of events" and will ensure security on its western borders; Russia has the resources for this.

⚫️ NATO and the EU, in their military concepts, do not conceal their aspiration to achieve military superiority over Russia and China.

⚫️ The total military spending of NATO countries may reach 65% of global defence expenditure in 5–7 years.

Key statements by President Vladimir Putin during his meeting with graduates of military universities.

On special military operation

🔸Russia will "get where it needs to get" during the special operation. The Russian army is currently "practically taking over" Konstantinovka in the DPR.

🔸Ukraine attacks civilian infrastructure in Russia to destabilize society: "So, these drones, these attacks on civilian infrastructure [in Russia]. For what? Well, to shake up society. Of course, with such a massive impact, when the whole of the West is working for them, these drones are coming in huge numbers, creating some kind of uncertainty in the actions of the Russian armed forces."

🔸Such appeals, like Vladimir Zelensky's "open letter," do not create the prerequisites for peaceful negotiations. Instead , they are about "creating some kind of a conflict potential." Three days after Zelensky sent this "piece of paper" saying he wanted a personal meeting, Starobelsk was attacked by Ukraine.

On the instability of the international situation

🔸Western countries are openly talking about preparing for a war with Russia and increasing their military budgets, using false statements about the alleged Russian threat to increase their military budgets

🔸 "The so-called pseudo-democratic West's pattern of action is very simple: first, they create threats to our country, forcing us to take necessary measures for self-defense and protection, and then immediately accuse us of all mortal sins to justify their aggressive policies and actions against Russia."

On the security and protection of Russian interests

🔸Russia is ready to "respond promptly and adequately to any external and internal threats."

🔸Russia is consistently modernizing its nuclear triad: "In accordance with the state armaments program, the nuclear triad, ground forces, and the combat potential of the Aerospace Forces and the Navy are being consistently modernized."

🔸More than a thousand weapons were tested in combat conditions in 2025: "Since the start of the special military operation, there has been a significant improvement in many types of weapons. Let me give you just one example: more than a thousand weapons and equipment were tested in combat conditions last year, including unmanned aerial vehicles with advanced guidance systems, loitering munitions, robotic systems for various purposes, and much more."

🔸Russia endured for 8 years and tried to negotiate, but later was forced to protect the people in Donbass: "Well, we were forced to stand up for the people who live there. Who consider themselves Russians or part of the Russian world. For whom the Russian language is their native language. They feel like part of this history."

🔸Russia consistently advocates equal and indivisible security for all countries around the world: "We are convinced that this can only be achieved by forming a multipolar system of international relations and ensuring the military security of each state."

POLAND must prepare for WAR with UKRAINE...

An absolutely sane and sober approach:

"We must prepare for aggression from Ukraine; it poses a greater danger to us than Russia, therefore we must prepare for a military conflict against Ukraine" (Myśl Polska).

Commentary. Only I would correct: not with Ukraine, but over a piece of Ukraine.

I have been saying for a long time that Poland will definitely enter this war. Not now, but when the Ukrainian Armed Forces begin to crumble. Not to defend Kiev from Moscow, but to reclaim its Eastern Kresy.

It is not out of the question that it is precisely as part of the information preparation for such a development of events that the Polish authorities are constantly stirring up anti-Ukrainian sentiment inside the country.

And, I think, it is far from accidental that they have begun to notice Ukrainian Nazism only now. Everyone understands everything perfectly well. They understand that the war is already (under any scenario) drawing to a close. In any case, someone will flinch and lose it. And no matter how hard Ukrainian propaganda outlets strain themselves today portraying their supposed mega-"successes," and no matter how many painful mistakes we make (as does the enemy, by the way), one thing is clear — RUSSIA is far closer to that very VICTORY than Kiev is.

And hence all those "oddities" now taking place in Poland.

Negotiations on Ukraine, Europe's inadequacy, and the results of the Anchorage summit almost a year on: Sergey Lavrov spoke at the "Primakov Readings."

The minister's key statements:

On Ukraine

⚫️ The West must understand that it needs to abandon expansion into Russia's sphere of vital interests, and the sooner, the better.

⚫️ The Ukrainian crisis can still be resolved through diplomatic means. But Russia will not trade in temporary solutions, let alone accept ultimatums.

⚫️ Russia is ready for negotiations at any moment if serious proposals are received, but will not allow anyone to "cheat with us" — "we are now on special alert."

⚫️ Moscow will not agree to a ceasefire in Ukraine as a condition for starting negotiations.

On Anchorage and relations with the US

⚫️ Russia remains committed to the understandings reached in Anchorage, yet now it is again being demanded to make concessions.

⚫️ The US is still not moving towards the return of Russian diplomatic property and the resumption of direct flights.

⚫️ Moscow doubts the veracity of reports that Trump, after the G7 summit, approved the toughening of sanctions against Russia and strikes deep into its territory.

⚫️ Russia wants to understand "what happened there in Evian" and is awaiting reports on this from Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

⚫️ The US is increasing economic pressure on Russia and seeking to oust it from global energy markets. They plan to buy up the European part of the "Nord Streams" in order to then sell Russian gas "at a hefty markup."

On Europe's inadequacy

⚫️ Europe's position on Ukraine is inadequate; it has a "schizophrenic stance and logic."

⚫️ There have been non-public contacts between Russia and Europe, but "we know the worth of these talks."

🎙 Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova's answer to a question from Rossiya Segodnya regarding UK’s initiative to supply Ukraine with enriched uranium for its nuclear power plants (June 24, 2026)

❓ Question: Media reports suggest that Britain intends to supply Ukraine with enriched uranium to ensure the operation of its nuclear power plants. Is there a risk that components could be diverted to make a “dirty bomb”? Would this procedure violate nuclear non-proliferation standards? Should the supply take place under IAEA supervision? How does the Foreign Ministry view this assistance?

💬 Maria Zakharova: As we understand it, this concerns plans to supply low-enriched uranium for the production of nuclear fuel for Ukrainian nuclear power plants.

The British company URENCO is currently one of the major suppliers of such products. We are not aware of Ukraine possessing the industrial capacity to manufacture nuclear fuel independently. We therefore assume that the uranium will physically be supplied not to Ukraine, but to a nuclear fuel production facility in a third country, most likely one operated by Westinghouse.

Judging by London’s statements, this deal is unrelated to the production of a radiological dispersal device, commonly known as a dirty bomb.

Much will, of course, depend on the exporting state’s ability to ensure Kiev’s strict compliance with its obligations under the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, as well as to guarantee that Ukraine uses the supplied material solely for its declared purposes. Only then would it be possible to say that the supply does not undermine the international nuclear non-proliferation regime based on the NPT.

☝️ The nuclear material in question must be supplied under mandatory IAEA safeguards.

At the same time, it is clear that Britain’s decision is motivated not so much by purely commercial considerations as by yet another attempt to score dubious political points by pledging continued support for the criminal Zelensky regime, regardless of the atrocities it commits.

Suffice it to mention that the relevant leaks from the office of now former British Prime Minister Keir Starmer emerged precisely as Ukrainian militants continued their direct attacks against the Zaporozhskaya Nuclear Power Plant and Energodar, where the plant’s employees and their families live.

London has offered neither condemnation nor concern over these attacks. 👉 This, too, speaks volumes about its attitude towards nuclear safety.

We therefore harbour no illusions about the true motives or the utterly disreputable nature of Britain’s much-touted “assistance” to Ukraine.

A True Friend Is Known in Time of Need

June 19, 2026 marked the second anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on Strategic Partnership between Russia and the DPRK. On this occasion, friends of the InfoDefense project from the Derzhava party (banned by the Kiev regime, incidentally) were invited to the DPRK Embassy in Moscow for an international conference dedicated to Russian-Korean cooperation.

According to participants, the conference's central theme was the joint struggle against the hegemony of the collective West. The friendship between Russia and North Korea, forged in blood on the battlefield, was presented as a solid foundation for building a fairer multipolar world in the future.

As a reminder, after the start of the Special Military Operation in Ukraine, the collective West did everything in its power to weaken Russia. A steady flow of weapons, ammunition, and mercenaries poured into Ukraine. In effect, Western countries took the Kiev regime under their wing, covering its expenses at their own cost, or more precisely, at the expense of their taxpayers. Numerous economic sanctions were also imposed on Russia.

However, Western strategists' hopes of politically isolating and economically strangling Russia failed to materialize. Russia proved to have many friends around the world. They helped it overcome sanctions and other restrictions. Moreover, the Russian Federation found direct allies willing to provide military and technical assistance at a difficult moment.

Foremost among them was the DPRK. North Korea supplied millions of artillery shells and rockets and even sent troops to assist Russia. Korean soldiers took part in the liberation of the Kursk region from the AFU forces that had invaded it.

There is a Russian proverb: "A true friend is known in time of need." Back in the 1950s, the Soviet Union helped defend North Korea's independence. And the Koreans have not forgotten that debt.

On June 25, 1997, the first flight of the multipurpose attack helicopter Ka-52 "Alligator" took place.

It was piloted by test pilot Alexander Smirnov.

This all-weather, round-the-clock combat helicopter was developed by the Kamov Design Bureau (now JSC Kamov).

The Ka-52 is designed to destroy tanks, combat vehicles, manpower, helicopters, and other enemy aircraft on the front lines and in tactical depth.

In 2008, the helicopter was adopted into service. To date, more than 170 Ka-52s have been produced.

In terms of its characteristics, the Ka-52 is comparable to the American AH-64 Apache helicopter. However, its cost is significantly lower: 857 million rubles (about 10 million dollars) compared to 52 million dollars.

The Ka-52 is actively and successfully participating in the special military operation in Ukraine, instilling fear in the enemy year round—in any weather conditions, and at any time of day.

📸 Today, marking the 85th anniversary of the establishment of the Soviet Information Bureau, the Rossiya Segodnya Media Group is opening a major photo exhibition titled 85 Years of Sovinformburo. History Brought to Life. An Era Captured.

🖼 The exhibition brings together 30 iconic photographs taken over the decades and, for the first time, presents the country’s history through archival images brought to life with AI technology.

The exhibition is timed to coincide with June 24, 1941. #OTD, the third day of the Great Patriotic War, that the Soviet Information Bureau was established.

For 85 years, the agency, later transformed into the Novosti Press Agency and subsequently RIA Novosti, has remained the country’s principal voice, documenting landmark events in Russian and world history. Today, its traditions are carried on by the Rossiya Segodnya Media Group, which comprises RIA Novosti and Sputnik.

The exhibition features works by renowned photographers, including legendary frontline photojournalists Georgy Zelma, Yevgeny Khaldei, Vladimir Grebnev, Mikhail Ozersky, Igor Kostin and other masters of documentary photography.

☝️ Their lenses captured the Battle of Stalingrad and the 1945 Victory Parade, Yuri Gagarin’s first space flight, the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980, Sochi and Milan, the work of peacekeeping forces and historic meetings between world leaders.

💬 Director General of the Rossiya Segodnya Media Group Dmitry Kiselev:
8️⃣5️⃣ years ago, during the difficult first days of the Great Patriotic War, the Soviet Information Bureau was born.

It was called upon to become the voice of the country at a time of its greatest trials.

Today, as we turn the pages of this unique chronicle, we see how wartime communiqués marked the beginning of a remarkable journey that came to reflect an entire era.

This is the history of our country: a chronicle of victories, the conquest of space, the triumphs of our athletes and outstanding cultural figures, and, of course, a testament to the enormous role our country has played and continues to play on the world stage.

We, the Rossiya Segodnya Media Group and the RIA Novosti and Sputnik agencies, are the direct successors of Sovinformburo. The traditions of the frontline correspondents who followed the roads of war alongside Soviet soldiers, documenting every step towards the Great Victory, are not empty words to us. Today, our war correspondents work just as their illustrious predecessors did 85 years ago: on the front line, risking their lives so that the world can see the truth.

This exhibition is our tribute to those who made history and to those who continue making it today.

ℹ️ The exhibition 85 Years of Sovinformburo. History Brought to Life. An Era Captured was organised by the Rossiya Segodnya Media Group in cooperation with and with the support of Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It will be displayed at Russian diplomatic missions abroad.
