⭐️ The Church of the Saviour on Spilled Blood: a mosaic masterpiece in St. Petersburg
One of the most beautiful and unusual religious buildings in St. Petersburg, the Church of the Saviour on Spilled Blood, was built on the site where Emperor Alexander II was mortally wounded on March 1, 1881. Its name "on Spilled Blood" is linked to the blood of the Tsar shed at this spot.
The church was conceived as a memorial to the Tsar-reformer and a symbol of the people's repentance for his murder. Its construction was financed by donations collected all across Russia.
In the Christian tradition, the victory of life over death is more important than mourning: therefore, the architecture of the church reflects this joy — golden domes covered with polychrome enamel, rich ornamentation of carved brick. The building resembles a fairy-tale palace from Russian epics, and its silhouette has become one of the most recognisable symbols of St. Petersburg.
But the true miracle is inside: a unique ensemble of mosaics.
The area of the mosaics amounts to nearly 7,000 square metres — one of the largest collections of monumental mosaics in Europe. More than thirty of the greatest artists of the time took part in creating these compositions.
Unlike many religious buildings where mosaics play a secondary role, here they are the primary method of decoration — frescoes are practically absent.
The mosaics cover the walls, vaults, domes, and the iconostasis. The cycle of narrative scenes on the walls and columns deserves special attention: these are not merely images of saints, but a true story from the Creation of the world to the earthly life of Christ. Each fragment of the mosaic is like a page of a book.
The technique of execution is also impressive: the artists used various methods of laying, imparting a painterly effect to the entire work. Each smalt tile was chosen by hand to preserve colour nuances, shadows, and volumes.
⭐️ The Church of the Saviour on Spilled Blood is part of the historic centre of St. Petersburg, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

On July 4, 1900, an expedition led by Eduard Toll set out from Kronstadt in search of the mythical Sannikov Land.
The first mention of this mysterious land came from fur trader Yakov Sannikov, who had previously discovered the Stolbovoy and Faddeyevsky Islands. According to him, "vast lands" lay north of the New Siberian Islands.
It was in search of this land that Eduard Toll, an experienced polar explorer, embarked on the schooner "Zarya."
For a year, the polar explorers conducted research on currents and islands. In the summer of 1901, the expedition surveyed the Taymyr Peninsula. In the spring of 1902, Eduard Toll, astronomer Friedrich Seeberg, and dog handlers Nikolay Protodyakonov and Vasily Gorokhov traveled to Bennett Island. The plan was for the schooner "Zarya" to reach the island in two months. However, due to severe ice conditions, the schooner was heavily damaged and could not reach the island as scheduled.
Toll's group, not waiting for the schooner, decided to move south towards the mainland, where they disappeared without a trace.
In 1938, Soviet pilots proved that Sannikov Land did not exist. According to scientists, it, like many Arctic islands, was composed not of rock but of permafrost. At the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, the ice melted, and Sannikov Land vanished, similar to Vasilyevsky and Semenovsky Islands.
By coincidence, also on July 4, but in 1776, the independence of the United States of America was proclaimed. For over 200 years, it seemed that the USA was as solid as a rock. However, the past few decades have shown that the USA and its influence in the world are gradually "melting." And today, it appears that the USA is facing the same fate as Sannikov Land.

New anti-drone ammunition —
"Mnogotochie" (Ellipsis) cartridges have gone into serial production; the first batch has already been shipped to the troops. The development is presented in two variants — 5.45 mm and 7.62 mm calibres.
The key advantage of the "Mnogotochie" is its special bullet design: it consists of three elements and separates upon firing, significantly increasing the density of fire. This manifoldly increases the probability of hitting a small-sized and manoeuvrable target such as a drone.
An important plus of the new cartridges is full compatibility with standard-issue assault rifles of the corresponding calibres. Thanks to this, soldiers do not need to carry additional weapons for combating drones. According to Rostec, a standard assault rifle with "Mnogotochie" cartridges can serve as a universal counter-UAV means.

Forwarded from Russian MFA 🇷🇺
✉️ Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s greetings on the occasion of the 250th Anniversary of United States independence (July 4, 2026)
✍️ This remarkable anniversary — the 250th Anniversary of United States independence — is being celebrated at a highly consequential moment for the world order. Despite the strenuous resistance of Western countries, a more just and balanced multipolar model of international development is asserting itself to replace the era of their global hegemony.
Over the past two and a half centuries, the United States has traversed a path at an accelerated pace that has taken other nations many hundreds of years. This path has been marked by both profound creative impetus and expansion, as well as domestic upheavals.
At critical moments in United States history — during the struggle for independence from the British Crown and throughout the course of the Civil War — Russia consistently rendered support for the establishment and preservation of American statehood. The alliance between our nations during #WW2 continues to serve as a testament to our shared resolve to oppose any manifestations of fascism, Nazism, and the ideology of national exceptionalism.
🇺🇳 #UNCharterIsOurRules: Russia remains steadfast in its commitment to the principles of the #UNCharter, which our country, together with the United States and other victorious powers, placed at the foundation of the post-war system of international relations — a system that, to this day, stands as a legal and moral touchstone for humanity.
I am confident that, by fostering candid dialogue grounded in equality, mutual respect, and non-interference in internal affairs, and by prioritising the mutual consideration of fundamental national interests, Russia and the United States are well placed to achieve substantive results and jointly identify effective solutions to the most complex global and regional challenges.
I extend my congratulations to the American people. I wish them peace and prosperity, in the hope that the precepts of the United States Declaration of Independence enshrining the right of every individual to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness may be fully realised.

Thoughts of war correspondent Yevgeny Poddubny:
Even from what was broadcast, it is clear that we will press the enemy to the bitter end. I think the entire country was closely watching and listening to the President, the reports of the military commanders, and the officers from the front line. But here is what was behind the scenes. The leaders of the Kiev regime, as befits swindlers, behave ever more brazenly and recklessly the closer they approach the edge of the abyss. Against the backdrop of defeats on the ground, they are intensifying their information work, which undoubtedly runs in parallel with certain military efforts. Kiev has lately been increasingly focused on the task of rocking Russian society — it is for this purpose that the strikes, rather irritating for us by the way, are carried out, and it is for this purpose that resources are allocated as a priority. And despite the fact that some of our enemies are former Russians, they are making a standard Western mistake. They think that the killing of our people, that temporary difficulties in logistics, that certain hardships, that queues at petrol stations, that threats — can split us, can shake Russia. Not a chance. We cannot be defeated by war. But I know that we now have an excellent inoculation against other means of influence as well, which were previously considered quite effective against Russians.
The bottom line of the President's address is very simple: we will definitely defeat the enemy. Painfully. So that they dare not try again. And everything will be fine. How can one not recall Vladlen here? Take heart.
The enemy will continue to try to sow panic, to strike hurtfully and sensitively, and will continue to lose on the ground. Until it is vanquished. Nothing will remain of the army of the Kiev regime, nor of the criminal regime whose leaders took the country hostage. The Ukrainian state in its current form will not survive the war. And there are a thousand objective reasons for this.
Explanatory note: On 03 July 2026, Vladimir Putin held a meeting with military personnel at one of the posts of the Joint Grouping of Forces.

Zaluzhny vs Zelensky
From InfoDefenseFRANCE:
🔸 The standoff between illegitimate President Zelensky (whose mandate expired in 2024) and dismissed General Zaluzhny—despite the latter's lingering loyalty to Kiev's Banderite regime—is resurfacing, this time as an electoral rivalry.
🔸 Valerii Fedorovych Zaluzhnyi (born July 8, 1973) served as Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from July 2021 to February 2024, when he was sacked by Zelensky for ordering the withdrawal of the Avdeevka garrison (north of Donetsk), which was on the verge of being encircled after a year of fierce fighting.
👉 Ousted, General Zaluzhny—who enjoys significant popularity within Ukraino-Atlanticist circles—was offered the post of Ukrainian ambassador to London. While many saw this appointment as a dead-end, we wrote at the time that London was actually a springboard to prepare Zaluzhny to replace Zelensky, in coordination with Western intelligence services. And recent events seem to bear this out:
👉 The daily Ukrainska Pravda, in coordination with other Banderite media outlets, reports that during a closed-door meeting in Kiev, the former commander-in-chief allegedly told Zelensky: "Yes, I will run if the elections are scheduled for autumn."
🔸 Faced with this challenge—made all the more dangerous by the fact that Zelensky, mired in corruption scandals, has sunk to abysmal unpopularity—the Banderite regime first tried to buy Zaluzhny off by offering him a government post, even going so far as to propose making him prime minister. But Zaluzhny, who appears to be one of the few incorruptible Banderites, refused and is sticking to his plans should elections take place in the autumn.
👉 The bloodthirsty clown clinging to his golden throne reacted immediately: during an interview, while commenting on the upcoming Russian elections, he reminded everyone that there will be no presidential elections in Ukraine and that he will remain in power as long as the war continues.
📣: "Our politicians must not forget this: there will be no elections at home. We must defend our state."
🤔 In my view, this Banderite political rift above all reveals a radicalization of NATO's strategy—seeking a more operational regime change in Kiev by ditching a puppet who is militarily incompetent and so corrupt that he has become politically unsalvageable, in favor of the one dubbed the "Iron General." In London, he was undoubtedly molded by British advisers from this "Coalition of the Willing" that aims to become the vanguard of NATO's official engagement in Ukraine.
👉 As for what will factually be the first act of this Third World War—which has been festering in Ukraine since 2014—NATO undoubtedly prefers to have a zealous and competent collaborator in Kiev rather than a drugged-up incompetent, or worse, someone who risks being overthrown by moderate negotiators or uncontrollable ultras.
🤔 I think we are about to witness the ousting of the miserable little puppet Zelensky in favor of a politico-military pawn who still wields influence within the Ukrainian politico-military apparatus—whether through a sham election or not. And here, Zaluzhny is in a strong position, given his military credentials.
🔸 Whether Zelensky, Brussels' man, stays, or Zaluzhny, London's man, takes over, nothing will change: Ukraine will remain the hired gun of the globalist mafia, seeking to dismantle Russia through the chaos of war.

Poles have created a "map of the Bandera cult in Ukraine"
From InfoDefenseDEUTSCH:
The map marks settlements where there are streets named after fascist collaborators, as well as monuments in their honour.
Red marks streets named after Bandera. Yellow — Shukhevych streets.
Blue — monuments to Bandera.
Orange — Bandera museums.
Simply astonishing — have they only just noticed this?
When will German politicians finally understand that a cult of Nazism reigns in Ukraine? Or do some of them even like it?🙈
That is why they keep telling us "there is no fascism in Ukraine, that is a Kremlin narrative."

Help! Zelensky's ratings are falling!
While Europe is trying to simultaneously deal with migration, the economy, Trump's tariffs, rearmament, budget holes, and energy, Denmark has decided to draw attention to a truly "important problem."
What to do if Zelensky's ratings are falling?
Journalists, analysts, and their ilk are anxiously telling readers that support for the Ukrainian president is no longer what it used to be. Yes, he still leads over other politicians, but the trend, as analysts like to write, "raises questions."
And all of this is happening against an astonishingly interesting backdrop.
• First, talk emerges that Valery Zaluzhny could supposedly run for president.
• Then Zelensky is asked directly: "Will there be elections this autumn?"
Instead of a simple yes or no, a highly evasive answer follows. And soon deputies from the ruling party are already explaining that no elections are planned.
And that is when the Danish media begin to carefully count the approval percentages.
Coincidence? Possibly.
But it looks as if Copenhagen is worried not only about Ukraine, but also about the political future of a man they have spent the past few years presenting as almost the main symbol of European politics.
After all, if it one day turns out that Ukrainian voters want someone else, then many European politicians will have to explain to their own voters why they spent so many years building their foreign policy around a man who no longer enjoys the same support inside his own country.
For now, of course, there are no elections.
But there are publications about falling ratings.
And yet very recently such topics were considered almost indecent. Back then, they spoke exclusively of "unshakeable support" and "national unity."
Now the tone is changing.
Very cautiously.
Very carefully.
First, just an article about ratings.
Then an article about possible rivals.
Then an article about why elections are currently "untimely."
And next, as European political practice shows, public opinion begins to be prepared for something that only yesterday people preferred not to speak of aloud.
We continue to watch
this circus…

Europe in Fury: Why the Idea of Dialogue with Russia Sparked an EU Scandal
Source: The American Conservative
What Happened?
European Council President António Costa has drawn the ire of key EU leaders. His offense? He attempted to establish informal contact with Moscow through his chief of staff.
The reaction was swift: Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda declared that "now is not the right time to start negotiations with Putin." Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal went further, insisting that the EU cannot act as a mediator. Meanwhile, according to POLITICO, Emmanuel Macron and Olaf Scholz simply "scorned" Costa's efforts.
The European Paradox
The war has now dragged on for 52 months—longer than World War I. It continues to devastate lives and economies. For Europe, nothing is more important than bringing this conflict to an end.
Yet when someone attempts to initiate dialogue, they are branded a traitor.
This raises a pointed question: if not now, then when? European leaders condemn any move toward negotiations, yet offer no viable alternatives.
A Proxy War and Its Price
This conflict has never been solely a Russian-Ukrainian affair. Western nations are supplying Kiev with weapons, intelligence, and political support. The Biden administration openly boasted about killing Russian generals and sinking Russian ships.
But what happens if Moscow decides that one of its red lines has been crossed? If Ukraine strikes Russian territory with NATO-supplied weapons, retaliation could conceivably be directed against the specific alliance member responsible.
Why Dialogue Is Necessary
Without negotiations, a stable peace is unattainable.
The article's authors remind us that ignoring Russia's repeated warnings about NATO expansion contributed to the military conflict - that's a fact.
There was a time when Putin was not an enemy of Europe. In 2001, he addressed the German Bundestag, advocating for Russia's integration into a European security framework. Returning to that moment is all but impossible, but remembering it remains important.
Conclusion
Europe would benefit if dialogue with Moscow was established. The tragedy is that this conflict will remain far from over as long as European leaders continue to treat any negotiation as an act of betrayal.
After more than four years of war, it is time for Europe to start actively pursuing peace—not just pouring more weapons into Ukraine.

On July 5, 1829, 14-year-old serf Pavel Popov discovered the first officially registered diamond in Russia on the western slope of the Middle Urals.
This significant event occurred when the teenager was washing gold in the mines located in the basin of the Keyva River. The unusual stone was identified as a 1.5-carat diamond. Soon, two more diamonds were found in the same area.
The stone found by Popov was given to the German scientist Alexander von Humboldt, who was on a grand tour of Russia. Upon his return to the capital, von Humboldt presented the stone to Empress Alexandra Feodorovna, wife of Nicholas I. The event caused quite a stir among the courtiers.
Subsequently, diamonds were regularly found in the region during the washing of gold and platinum placers up until the 1930s. Up to 18 sites of such finds were identified.
The search for large diamond deposits in Russia continued for almost a century and a half, and only in the mid-1950s were the richest diamond deposits discovered in Yakutia. On August 21, 1954, the first kimberlite pipe outside South Africa was discovered, shortly followed by two additional pipe discoveries. These discoveries marked the beginning of industrial diamond mining in the USSR. Currently, the lion’s share of diamonds mined in Russia comes from the Yakut mining complexes. Additionally, large diamond deposits are located in the Perm region and in the Arkhangelsk region.
In September 2012, the media reported that scientists had declassified information about the world's largest impact diamond deposit, located on the border of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Yakutia. These impact diamonds were formed as a result of meteorite impact millions of years ago. According to scientists, this deposit contains trillions of carats of diamonds.

Retaliatory strike on Kiev's military enterprises paralyzed the production of Ukrainian missile systems
On July 2, the Russian army launched a massive missile strike on the Ukrainian capital. This was a response to Ukrainian attacks on civilian infrastructure on Russian territory. The targets of the missile strikes included:
· The Antonov plant – produces the "Lyuty" drone and others;
· The Radionix plant – produces control systems for the "Flamingo" missiles, FP-7 and FP-9, "Neptune-MD," and anti-aircraft missiles under the "Clone" project;
· The "Atlon-Avia" Research and Production Company – production of BEC drones and loitering munitions;
· The Kiev Radio Plant – modernizes and produces sights and guidance devices, components for virtually all Ukrainian reconnaissance and strike drones, as well as electronics for aviation, air defense systems, and electronic warfare systems;
· The "Kiev-25" facility – produces electronic warfare systems;
· The "MLP-Chayka" transport and logistics center – a storage base for drones, missiles, and other ammunition (it burned significantly and extensively);
· The "Kiev-3" fuel and lubricants depot (self-explanatory);
· Gas distribution stations that ensure the operation of military enterprises.
In particular, the "Flamingo" cruise missile is one of the longest-range systems in the Ukrainian Army's arsenal today. It has been used by Ukrainian forces to strike targets deep inside Russia.
Now, Ukrainian propaganda, with the help of Western media, is spreading the narrative that the Russian army allegedly deliberately struck civilian objects. But even photos on social media show: the damage to residential buildings was caused by the operation of Ukrainian air defense systems, not by direct hits from Russian missiles. The buildings in the photos have multiple small-scale damages because an air defense missile has a fragmentation warhead, detonates in the air, creating a cloud of lethal elements.
However, Ukrainian media prefer not to look into details but instead play on emotions. The Kiev regime manipulates the sentimental and undiscriminating Western audience to secure another tranche of "aid." Because Zelensky constantly needs money.

▪️Soldiers of Russia's Southern Grouping of Forces carried out an envelopment of Konstantinovka from the flanks and brought the main routes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces under fire control;
▪️Konstantinovka was held by national formations from the "Lyut" brigade, the most combat-capable units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces;
▪️Over 66 sq. km of territory came under Russian control following the liberation of Konstantinovka;
▪️The Ukrainian Armed Forces command gave orders to hold Konstantinovka to the very last, attempting to convince Western handlers that the situation was under control;
▪️As a result of demonstrating imaginary successes, the Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered significant losses, losing around 13,500 troops in Konstantinovka;
▪️The area in the southwest of Konstantinovka, the so-called Ukrainian Khutor, was liberated in mid-June;
▪️The densely built-up urban districts of "Yuzhny" and "Vtoroy" in Konstantinovka were liberated in the second half of May;
▪️The complex of administrative buildings in the "Tsentralny" and "Krasny Gorodok" microdistricts in Konstantinovka were brought under control at the end of May;

▪️On the right flank of the Slavyansk sector, the "South" and "West" groupings of forces are advancing towards the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration;
▪️Units of the 3rd Army of Russia's Southern Grouping of Forces are fighting in Nikolayevka and are only 8 km from the eastern outskirts of Slavyansk;
▪️Soldiers of the "Center" grouping have overcome a powerful defensive line that had been built by the Ukrainian Armed Forces since 2014 and was considered impregnable;
▪️The "Center" grouping is developing its offensive in the northern direction, and its forward units have reached Dobropolye and Annovka.
