Interestingly, he also recalled a phrase from a Russian fairy tale about a fox and a wolf. The tale comes down to that in the winter frosty weather a wolf wanted to forcefully take away fish from a fox that it had caught, but the fox cunningly talked the wolf into catching fish from an ice opening using its own tail.
And all the while the wolfβs tail was getting frozen in the ice opening, the fox sat by repeating: βFreeze in, freeze in, the wolfβs tail!β
