⚡️🇷🇺 Putin gave the order to start supplying gas from Gazprom's Kovykta field

Moscow. December 21. INTERFAX.RU - Gazprom Starts Production of Gas in the Kovykta Gas Field in Irkutsk Region and Operation of the Kovykta-Chayanda Section of the Power of Siberia Gas Pipeline; Russian President Vladimir Putin gives the order to start supplying gas from the Kovykta field.

The Kovykta gas condensate field is the largest gas field in the East of Russia and is considered unique. The recoverable reserves of gas under the project are 1.8 trillion cubic meters, gas condensate - 65.7 million tons, 27
bcm of gas per year planned design capacity.

It is the base field for the Irkutsk Gas Production Center being formed by Gazprom and the resource base for the Power of Siberia gas pipeline (along with the Chayandinskoye field in Yakutia).

The field has a complex geological structure and terrain, which requires the application of best practices and competencies at all stages of field development - from drilling production wells to building infrastructure facilities.
