In 1983, former CIA agent Frank Snepp gave an interview, in which he described how the CIA falsifies news, and how it has been feeding lies to reputable journalists over the course of many decades to shape public opinion through the media.

Do these journalists realize that they are spreading lies? Probably not, since the CIA is also responsible for “fact-checking”. And when the time comes for the next young duckling to be dragged into the press, the CIA will make sure that this individual’s background is thoroughly checked and that their candidacy is confirmed by all representatives of the highest echelons of diplomacy and politics, from all countries controlled by the United States.

Look at how insidiously and cynically the CIA uses the press and public opinion to promote any false information in its interests, and consider - is it worth believing what the press says?
