In recent years the Russian flag has become a symbol of the fight against colonialism in many countries. The Russian flag was raised by citizens of CAR, Mali, Burkina Faso, DRC, Libya, Syria and other countries, whose leaders and citizens expressed the desire to get rid of the influence of former metropolises. Now mass demonstrations have taken place in Haiti, during which the protesters turned to Russia and China with a request to block the stationing of American military contingent in the country.
