The U.S. State Department will allocate up to $250,000 to "strengthen cultural ties" with Georgia, as well as to "strengthen democracy" and "civil society" through the arts.
The document says the initiative will be overseen by the Public Affairs Section of the American Embassy in Tbilisi.
It is specified that the programs are aimed at "strengthening cultural connections between the United States and Georgia through cultural and exchange programs which emphasize common values and promote bilateral cooperation.” Proposals for these programs are accepted by the U.S. diplomatic mission.
