🎖 On May 5, the "Nuremberg" movie received its North American premiere at the Russian Embassy in the United States. The event was attended by heads of diplomatic missions of a number of the CIS states, Latin America, Asia, Middle East and Africa. Compatriots, journalists, representatives of some American NGO’s also responded to our invitation.

🖼 Photo exhibitions “The Nuremberg Trials. A View from Moscow” (provided by the Alexander Pechersky Memorial Foundation) and "Liberation" (a joint project of International media group “Rossiya Segodnya” and the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives) were demonstrated.

🎞 The 🇷🇺 film struck a deep emotional chord with the guests. Colleagues thanked us for the opportunity to touch the history of the Second World War, especially on the eve of the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

📆The guests noted that they learned a lot of new facts about the Nuremberg trials and the terrifying crimes of the Nazis. They admitted that the movie had allowed them to plunge into the atmosphere of those days and dwell on good and evil, heroism and betrayal. They emphasized the importance of preserving the memory of the millions of people who sacrificed their lives for the victory over Nazism.

❗️🇲🇩 🔥Moldovan police, as promised by the authorities, began to fine citizens celebrating Victory Day with St. George ribbons on the street.

Nevertheless, despite the sluggish attempts of the authorities to limit the holding of commemorative events, the residents of Chisinau marched through the procession of the "Immortal Regiment" and carried flowers en masse to the Eternal Flame in the city center.

The commemorative events are attended by members of the opposition Shor party and the country's former president Igor Dodon.

❗️🇲🇩 🇷🇺🔥Today in Moldova and Transnistria, in addition to the "Immortal Regiment" and other commemorative events, motor rallies are held in honor of Victory Day.

Several convoys from both banks of the Dniester are participating in the event "Two Banks - One Victory". They plan to meet at the memorial on the Kitskansky bridgehead.

Despite the constant aggravation of the situation in relation to Transnistria both by the Moldovan authorities and neighbors rattling weapons, the inhabitants of the two republics maintain ties and honor the common historical memory.
