Lavrov on the message from the US

Blinken sent a message to Russia, telling Russia what to do: what Russia should stop doing and where Russia should leave. However, what was missing from this message was its true purpose.
Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov "filled the blanks" in Blinken's message with the words of NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg, who spoke about the necessity to defeat Russia. NATO had the courage to speak on behalf of all countries around the world.
This implies, Lavrov concluded, that the main goal of the US is to prevent anything on the international stage that could challenge the aspirations of the United States to
be a hegemon in today’s world.
