❗️🇱🇻 Latvia is at war with Soviet monuments. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️

Alexander Bartashevich, mayor of Latvia's Rēzekne city, publicly criticized the country's authorities' fight against monuments to Soviet soldiers:

"Today I am unable to stop the desecration of our monuments. But gratitude to our grandfathers for their heroic deeds in the fight against Nazism lives in my heart”.

Latvian authorities earlier announced the dismantling of the monument "Alyosha", after which local residents began to bring flowers to it.
