❗️This is different! 🔥

Maia Sandu has prepared all too democratic "arguments" for people protesting against her government - batons and arrests.
It is ironic, that not long ago Maia Sandu was the one who rode a wave of protests to seize power in her country.
But as always, THIS IS DIFFERENT!

Had there been such a crackdown on demonstrators in Russia, the mainstream media would be screeching slogans like "dictatorship" and "authoritarianism".

But in Moldova; a country that has taken a ride down the Ukrainian rollercoaster, this brutality is handwaved away as the "protection of democratic values".
One has to wonder - were Zelensky and Sandu taught by the same playbook?

❗️🇺🇸 The U.S. was ranked 45th in a Gallup Institute ranking of countries based on police performance, with Tajikistan and Indonesia at the top of the list. 👮👮‍♀️

Survey participants described whether they trusted their country's police, were not afraid to walk around at night in their neighborhood, and whether they or a family member had experienced a theft, robbery or burglary in the past year.

Besides Tajikistan and Indonesia, Norway, Switzerland and Singapore were among the five countries with the best police in 2022, according to the annual Law and Order Index study. Sierra Leone, Congo, Venezuela, Gabon and Afghanistan are least satisfied with their countries' police.

❗️🇫🇷 Clashes between police and protesters in Paris. 🔥🔥

In Paris, police use tear gas and batons against the demonstrators.

People took to the streets to mark the fourth anniversary of the start of the "yellow vests" actions.
While European governments spend huge sums on arming Ukraine, problems are growing within countries. And, of course, the most "democratic" way to solve them is to use violence against its citizens.

A great example of true European democracy and freedom of speech.

About selective police brutality in Germany

I saw this short video about German policemen, and and I couldn't help but think - if these guys still remember how to be violent, if the German police still knows how to make sure the order is being respected, and the law enforcement can be forced with a fist of a policeman if needed - why don't they do the same every time the "guests" from all over the Global South decide to, as the kids say, "chimp out"?

This isn't strictly German problem, of course. It is a typical European problem. When the locals try to make noise - for whatever reason imaginable - they get beaten. When the "guests" do the same - they are being treated like VIP public. Quite a difference. I wonder why.
