The first "NATO wave" music videos were made by the most uncreative but well funded glowies. These videos were a product of a commission gathered to discover "what do the young men these days find cool?". The structure, the music choice, the footage - it is so perfectly soulless - one can guess that these videos are parodies.
The videos are not parodies. Neither are the NATO fanboys like Oprek and Vil. These two want others to "fight the good fight", while they themselves want to remain at home, and enjoy the benefits. They can't imagine how the authorities will eventually come after them for the "recruitment" - in the same way many young Ukrainian men also never believed that they will be shoved into busses and sent to the training centers in which they'll get a few weeks of basic combat training, after which they'll be sent to the frontline to catch FPV drones with their bodies.
Ukraine should have been a lesson for men like Vil. Instead it became a sports game of sorts.

The Future War
The war in Ukraine continues. It's been 4 years by now. The expensive weapons are running out, so both sides downgraded to FPV drone spam.
What's so horrible about human controlled drones? That's the point - those drones become more often "AI driven" as of late. There is such thing as "machine vision" - the software has the specs of the targets it's supposed to attack. So, it's possible to send a drone - FPV sized or bigger - in the general direction of the enemy, where it will rely not on the GPS or radio waves - but on the terrain mapping software. There are already reports how the drones - bigger than FPV in size - attack civilian targets on both sides.
This will continue to escalate. It already happens in some places. The Future War is here. And it looks both lame and horrific. A cruise missile might strike a misidentified target after a human pushes the button. AI drones won't care at all, and I doubt this "bug" in their software will be fixed.
