IELTS Speaking Part 1 (good examples 2)
Part 1: emails and handwriting
π¨βπ«At work or in your studies, do you often write things?
πββοΈYes, I write a lot of emails as part of my job. I work for a company that has offices in several countries, so we use email to communicate.
π¨βπ«How often do you send e -mails?
πββοΈI probably write between 5 and 10 work emails every day, and I send emails to friends or family a few times a week.
π¨βπ«Do you prefer to write by hand or on a computer?
πββοΈIt depends what Iβm doing. I prefer the computer for most things because itβs faster and you can save or copy things, but I still like making notes or writing ideas down by hand.
π¨βπ«Do you think computers might on e day replace handwriting?
πββοΈNo, I think we will always write by hand as well. I think itβs an important skill, and schools will continue to teach children to write by hand before they learn to type.

βοΈA and anβοΈ
The difference between a and an is not grammatical, but is simply based on sound. Use a before every consonant, unless this consonant is part of an acronym where the letter in the acronym has a vowel sound (e.g. F = eff, M = em, N = en).
β’ an is used before u, if the u is pronounced as in uncle, understanding, uninteresting.
β’ a is used before u, if the sound is like you e.g. university, unique, utility
