A black hole freezes eternity

To an outside observer, an object falling into a black hole never actually crosses the event horizon. Gravity stretches light waves so intensely that the object's image gradually turns red and "freezes" forever.

The object seems to hang in space in endless slow motion.

Although the falling object itself won't notice anything unusual, for the rest of the universe, it becomes a frozen ghost that never truly falls in.
