Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani chaired the inaugural regular session of the Council of Heads of Independent Government Bodies and Non-Ministerial Bodies today.
The meeting focused on reviewing the performance of independent governmental bodies and exploring ways to enhance their services to citizens. A wide range of topics pertaining to their work were discussed in detail.
During the session, the Prime Minister underscored the importance of non-ministerial bodies and entities, reaffirming the government's commitment to fulfilling its responsibilities in accordance with the law and the constitution.
He emphasized the significance of coordination and collaboration among government bodies, ministries, and governorates to align with the state's plans. This integration serves as a crucial foundation for effectively implementing the government program's priorities.
Mr. Al-Sudani also emphasized that the independence of government bodies and institutions does not imply operating in isolation from other state institutions. Instead, all entities bear the responsibility of implementing the state's overarching policies, with a particular focus on administrative reform and combating corruption.
He highlighted that these bodies play an integral role in serving citizens as part of the larger state institutions. The heads of government bodies were urged to actively address these matters through field visits and daily work procedures.
During the discussion, the Prime Minister addressed the government's strategies concerning education, population, youth, and sports, stressing the importance of active participation from all state institutions in their successful implementation. He further emphasized the need to avoid unnecessary correspondence and lack of coordination to prevent wastage of time and effort.
The Council continued its deliberations on the agenda items, including reviewing coordination mechanisms between the Martyrs Foundation and relevant authorities regarding the rights of beneficiaries. Additionally, discussions involved coordination between the Political Prisoners Foundation and the Ministry of Finance regarding the institution's allocations within the 2023 federal budget. The Council also addressed challenges hindering the operations of the border crossings authority and considered proposals from the National Securities Commission aimed at enhancing their work for the benefit of the public. Furthermore, the needs of the Iraqi Academy of Sciences and the requests of the Iraqi Radioactive Sources Regulatory Authority were taken into consideration.

استقبل رئيس مجلس الوزراء السيد محمد شياع السوداني، اليوم الجمعة في مدينة جدّة، رئيس الوزراء في الجمهورية اللبنانية السيد نجيب ميقاتي، وذلك على هامش المشاركة في القمة العربية بدورتها الـ(32)، التي تستضيفها المملكة العربية السعودية.
وجرى خلال اللقاء بحث سبل تعزيز التعاون بين العراق ولبنان وتطوير الشراكة بين البلدين في مختلف المجالات، لما فيه مصلحة الشعبين الشقيقين.
وعبر السيد ميقاتي، خلال اللقاء، عن تقدير لبنان حكومةً وشعباً لمواقف العراق المساندة واستمرار الدعم بالوقود للشعب اللبناني، وبين أنّ العراق اليوم في طليعة الدول العربية الساندة للبنان في تجاوز ظروفه وتدعيم استقراره.
وبيّن السيد رئيس مجلس الوزراء أنّ الموقف الداعم للشقيق لبنان في تجاوز الظروف الاقتصادية إنما ينبع من واجب الأخوّة الراسخة بين البلدين، وأكد سيادته دعم العراق لاستقرار لبنان في تجاوز الصعوبات والتحديات.

بەرێز میقاتی ڕاگەیاند لوبنان بەحکومەت و گەلەوە هەلوێستە پاڵپشتیەكانی عێراق وبەردەوامی پشتگیری كردنی گەلی لوبنان بەسووتەمەنی بەرز نرخاند ،هەروەها روونی كردەوە كە ئەمرۆ عیراق لە پێشووی ووڵاتانی عەرەبیە بۆ پشتگیری لوبنان و دەرباز بوونی لەو رەوشە و پشتگیریكردنی سەقامگیریەكەی.
بەرێز سەرۆكی ئەنجومەنی وەزیران روونی كردەوە كە هەڵوێستی پشتگیریکردنی لوبنانی برا بۆ ئەوەی لەرەوشە ئابووریەكەی تێپەر بێت هەڵقوڵاوی برایەتی نێوان هەردوو ووڵاتە.
بەرێزیان پشتگیری عیراق بۆسەقامگیری لوبنان دووپاتكردەوە لەپێناو سەركەوتەنی بەسەر تەگەرەو ركمانیەكانی.
