The hack stemmed from a vulnerability in the Ether .fi smart contract: the AtomicQueue.solve() function failed to verify whether the designated executor had actually agreed to perform the operation.

The hacker crafted a specially formed request specifying a third-party address as the executor. The contract then utilized a previously granted token transfer authorization associated with that address to withdraw funds from the victim's wallet. The loss amounted to approximately 15.45 ETH.
