note on the phone: i ordered it while in china because they had a pre-order promotion where they'd give the watch for free. what did my stupid basque regional bank decide to do? cancel my payment two days later with no notification, email, sms NOTHING. so google was like wtf we are cancelling your order

i tried paying with different cards i had with the bank but they all got blocked??!! so one evening in lijiang i took the courage to call the customer service to see what was happening. after taking 10mins and 2342354 verification steps to know that it was indeed me who was calling the lady calmly explained that the "security team had found that my transactions were fraudulent" and for my own safety they cancelled everything

i explained that i understood that my activities looked suspicious since i was using my basque card to buy a phone from china VPNing through south korean and shipping it to the netherlands; but that in fact it was me who did that!

still the lady insisted that the security team has decided that the transactions were fraudulent and that they had stolen my cards credentials??!!! i tried to be very calm (clearly not successful at this) and told her that she extensively verified that i was indeed the owner of the account and the card and i was telling her that i did those transactions, but still she had the courage to repeat that my card got stolen!!! and that my account was frozen for my own good!!!

i even tried to be understanding and told her that okay sure, but how can i unblock them so i can continue to use my cards, and she had the courage to tell me that she couldn't do anything and that i had to go in person to one of the branches of the bank to get it unblocked! and that not even my parent could get it unblocked even if they were co-owners of my account

so yeah... that was definitely the last time i spoke with them. i created an online banking account, my parents who still had access to my account even if i didn't (!!) were able to transfer my money to the new account and was able to use it to pay for the phone and the rest of my spending on the trip...

anyhow, it was satisfying to vent about this to the poor bank lady that had the displeasure of dealing with me when i went to close my account the next time i visited tolosa...

the vids are still broken on iOS???!!! is google photos at fault here? is it ios??? is it telegram? 🫪
