🚀 EVE-NG 7 is getting closer.

The next major version of EVE-NG Pro is being prepared on top of Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, bringing a cleaner and more modern foundation for the future:

✅ updated system base
✅ long-term maintainability
✅ improved package lifecycle
✅ a stronger platform for future EVE-NG innovations

But that is not the only change coming.

With EVE-NG 7, we are also preparing a new Freemium mode.

The goal is simple:

Make EVE-NG easier to evaluate, easier to learn, and easier to access — while keeping EVE-NG Pro focused on professional labs, teams, training environments, and advanced use cases.

Freemium will be designed for:

🎓 learning
🧪 evaluation
🧑‍💻 personal labs
📘 CCNA-level practice
🔍 testing before purchasing

EVE-NG has always been about giving engineers a powerful, flexible, and realistic lab environment.

With EVE-NG 7, the path becomes clearer:

Freemium for learning and evaluation.
Pro for professional-scale labs.
