🚀 Kubernetes Scaling: Horizontal vs. Vertical Scaling
Kubernetes offers two ways to scale your applications:
🔹 Horizontal Scaling (HPA) – Increases or decreases the number of pods based on CPU, memory, or custom metrics.
🔹 Vertical Scaling (VPA) – Adjusts the resources of individual pods (CPU, memory).
When to use which?
✅ HPA: Ideal for stateless applications where adding more pods improves performance.
✅ VPA: Suitable for stateful apps where increasing resources of a single pod is more effective.
